This is a nice, well-located hotel in Xian. It is close walking distance to the Large Wild Goose Pagoda as well as a shopping area with a number of restaurants, including several western chain restaurants. The hotel has a large lobby with a couple gift shops. There are two restaurants serving breakfast - one has a Chinese buffet and the other a western buffet. There is a small lake in the courtyard with some swans and peacocks and a very nice park next door. My room was a good size and had a nice view of the grounds. There were good room-darkening drapes. The bed was very hard, which seems typical of all the hotels I stayed at in China. The hotel staff was friendly and most spoke decent English. My one complaint is that while the lobby was air conditioned, the hotel appeared to have turned off the air conditioning in the rooms for the season even though it was early September. It was in the 80's during the day and the room got quite warm.

This is a decent hotel in Xian. The rooms are dated and there is internet only in the lobby, which is inconvenient. The layout is very confusing - I have seldom been lost in a hotel, but I did it twice here... The rooms are clean, but need some spiffing up. The location is great, right near a park. The best part of the hotel is the interior garden, but the pond was in the process of being drained during our visit and a mudhole, with flopping goldfish didn't enhance our experience. They were filling it as we left, so take heart. The breakfasts were OK at best, but no worse. The staff's english skills were limited.

This review may sound halfhearted, but I would probably stay here again. It was "sincere" and I think I would have liked it better if the pond had been there. If you are visiting Xian, do consider this hotel seriously.

Great Chinese garden in the centre of this Hotel, but it looks shabby at the edges and needs a re-vamp.Good position though.terrible western breakfast.

We were traveling with a tour group and found this hotel to be very nice and in a great location. However, the room was only average and it was very noisy. When booking a room be sure to tell them that you want a quiet room facing the pond and not the highway.
