If all you care about is that it is clean, safe, and convenient, you'll be really happy with this choice. The beds are Chinese-style (so yes, they are harder than westerners are used to), the rooms are pretty basic, and the staff stumble through English, at best. But for the price - wow - what more do you expect?

The breakfast surprised us, it was actually quite good - and only cost $2.50 (15RMB!)

Not sure about the location, was close to the train station which was convenient for us, but we didn't have much time in Xi'an, so can't comment on its suitability for further exploration.

Ok hotel for the price but not well geared up for non-Chinese speaking customers. Found the breakfast average but at least they had toast, boiled eggs and coffee available (15 RMB pp). Dinner options were better, definitely try the fried beans. Would be great if they could itemize the bills for checkout as this would make final payments clearer.

A simple, clean hotel. No frills. Service was not great but at this price I do not think one can expect much service. Check in and out were not particularly efficient. The room including the bathroom were perfectly clean. Housekeeping banging around just outside our door at 0800 was not appreciated. Breakfast at the restaurant was not great. The location was OK but not brilliant, not really close enough to walk to the train station or the Drum and Bell Towers, but too close for a taxi to be interested in picking you up for such a short fare

Good quality budget hotel. Clean, nice specious bedrooms and beds, good quality sleep!

Free internet (wired) in the room. Shower clean with all the amenities one would need (and more if you take into consideration that many western hotels do not offer toothbrush and paste or shaving kit).

The staff does not speak (in most cases) English but they go in extra lengths to address all your needs and provide the information you may want .

I normally stay in JJ hotels and this one did not let me down once again
