The location is great, but the breakfast was not included in a 400 RMB room. When I wnet to the reception asking them to call a taxi, the only thing they did was to make the bell-boy to come with me for bargaining with a taxi. Finally it was me who had to insist the taxi driver to set the taximeter on.
If it's an Air China hotel (the logo of Air China is everywhere) I don't understand why they look at you very surprised when you try to get miles with you fidelity card.
INternet (LAN cable, no wifi) is sooooooooo slow

Location and cost is great. Our translator helped at check-in, so no problems there. The hotel, however, said that they did not have wireless Internet. We only had ipads and were disappointed that we could not connect wirelessly anywhere.

The hotel is run down and the rooms are dated. Cleanliness is not great, but not horrible. Breakfast was free and great!

We picked this hotel due to review on TA and the good deal that we got from CTrip website. Although one cannot fault the location of the hotel (pretty central and convenient for the Bell Tower, Muslim Street, restaurants etc) but as a hotel, this establishment sucks BIG time.

The reception staff are beyond words for rude. They are not just lazy and unhelpful, they do not even make an effort to give you a smile as the basics of hospitality service. Thank goodness our stay was only helped by the ever so-kind and gentle Concierge guy, whom, unfortunately was a 'trainee'.

We were upgraded to the 5th floor, although we do not know (and do not want to know) what our original room would have been as this upgraded room still was a room with no view (it looks out into a dark and artificial concrete courtyard).

The reception hall is the only grandeur the hotel can afford. Once past that area, when one heads to the lifts, the whole place smells of pee. The corridors to the rooms are extremely dark and a little spooky.

All in all - when it comes to charm, hospitality, comfort or service - this hotel has NONE. There are many other hotels around this area which look a WHOLE lot better! Do not waste your time with this one.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Chinese New Year with my husband & had a really great experience. It is in a great location at the heart of the old city, only 1 block from where the airport shuttle bus drops you. We had booked the promotional budget business room to find that it was an interior room (with no windows) & 2 twin beds. I asked reception about rooms with windows & a king bed and they quickly showed me other rooms. I can say that there is a big difference between rooms from 6th floor up - they are much nicer quality, furnishings look nicer, roomier, etc, although at a slightly higher price. After Since we were on a budget, we decided to stick with a lower floor room since there was one with windows and a king bed, but reception upgraded us for free! Very nice! Reception was good about helping us locate the local bus to take to see the Terracotta warriors also. Would definitely stay here again.
