First time I tried this hotel. Chose it as I needed to hit the ground running after a morning arrival at Guangzhou East Railway Station ex Hong Kong. As the hotel is located across the road from the station (literally two minutes walk), it was ideal to drop baggage and immediately set about business meetings in the city. There was no problem checking in late morning. The hotel is fairly a no-frills standard but is clean and surprisingly quiet (given its location adjacent to the railway). I didn't dine at the hotel, but my colleagues advise the breakfast is acceptable. The tariff available on the internet makes this hotel extremely good value for money. There is a subway station across the road which will get you to virtually anywhere in Guangzhou. Just along the street there's an ATM, 7/11 and other facilities while in the shopping centre across the road there is a Jusco supermarket. Concierge is polite and helpful. No complaints!

We stayed at this hotel to welcome Lunar New Year 2012. This hotel is in a very convenient location; just 2 mins walk from subway station (to travel around the city) and Ktt train station (to travel to Hong Kong). We stayed on the executive floor and enjoyed the plaza view, so we also had a nice surprise in the evening - enjoyed huge and beautiful fireworks when staying comfortably in the room at midnight. Quality of the amenities was a nice surprise, even the toothbrush was better than what other 5-star hotels could offer. However, the Gallery on the executive floor was closed during the period of our stay so we needed to go to 2nd floor for breakfast (lucky the breakfast was good but the chef couldn't make the sunny-side-up my friend wanted). Also the central heating was far too warm so we ended up swearing in the middle of night. Anyhow, if we are going to Guangzhou again, this hotel will be one of our choices.

The Hotel is conveniently located next to the Guangzhou East Railway station and also to subway lines. Shopping centre also across the road.
The Staff were all very friendly and offered great service. I stayed in an Executive room and was impressed with the service and room facilities. There was a cable for internet but I didn't require it as the wifi signal was strong, and of good speed.
A plate of cookies were left on the bedside table each night when the staff turned the bed down.
Breakfast buffet is the best I've experienced, it had a wonderful selection of both western and asian cuisine.
There is a construction site behind the hotel but I only occasionally heard any noise from there and only during the day. It was quiet at night.

We stayed here after a camping trip near shaoguan and the opening of doors, large bath, comfy beds were superbly appreciated. Doormen could speak English to do their jobs and the Christmas decorations were enough without being over the top nor ringing in your ears like other places we stayed. Would stay again for a touch of luxury in China.
