My family stayed overnight at this hotel on our way to the Danxia Mountains. We were brought here by the tour group we were with. The hotel claims its a 5-star but a Chinese 5-star is really the equivalent of an international 4-star. The rooms were large and comfortable but definitely falls short of 5 star due to its relatively simplistic decor and furnishings. The best thing was the separate cubicle for the shower and bathtub, which could be seen through the glass window from the bedroom. However a there is a blind for blocking the view. The central heating worked perfectly and it was definitely needed in the cold winter nights. Breakfast was fantastic as the hotel provided a variety of Western and Chinese dishes. I did not use any of the other amenities as we were there overnight.
I think the biggest drawback of the hotel must be its location in the middle of nowhere and about 45 minutes from Qingyuan through some back country roads. There are absolutely no shops or restaurants nearby and you are essentially trapped at the hotel. Certainly not recommended as a holiday destination.
