It was a family visit. The location is very convenient a few steps from the Holy masjid. Service is average. Dinning rooms were not very clean. Tea, milk and coffee spilling over tables during breakfast.

My family went to thier hotel we only know the languages in pakistan in which none are arabic. We arrived at the hotel after we preformed umrah and that is when hell started. Our family was in Shalwar Kameez the manager and the front desk person were both Egyptian and knew almost no English. Luckily my brother in law who lives in Saudi knew Arabic and they talked and we checked in and we got our room. The room was awful it was right at the corner next to an elevator. Their elevator system is messed up as well only 5 people can fit in the lift comfortably and 6 is a crammed in. I went and got some abh Zam Zam from the mosque one day and we had the room on the top floor and so when I got to my floor all the fat people around me wouldn't let me out they all had to go down and I told them that they didn't care. I pushed everybody out of my way and got out. The front desk person must have been retarted because we had 5 people and he only gave us a room with 4 beds. We thought that would be ok as long as my little 9 year old on the floor if we got some extra bedsheets and pillows. I called up housekeeping and they guy told me in a rude manner in an accent NO EXTRA BED SHEETS NO EXTRA PILLOW. That was ok with us so when we decide to freshen up and then go to the next prayer. After I had used the toilet the darn thing wouldn't flush ok so call maintinence and they will fix it. The shower was also broken most of the water didnt come out of the spout it came down the pipe straight into the drain. STILL we said ok we can take it. Our view was a nice blue wall next to the window. We were also thirsty and to get some cups they will charge you 5 Riyal to give you some. After we were all ready we needed to make sure that the lock on the door closed but GUESS WHAT? It didn't. That was it we were fed up by this nonsense. I went down there threw the room key in that guys face and told him the door doesn't lock dont give me that bull crap. Unfortunately we missed the Magrib prayer. It took us another hour to put everything in our new room. Make sure you don't go here in Shalwar Kameez.. In fact don't go there at all

Elaf Taiba is not a 4/5 Star Hotel but a decent place to stay. Its a Value for Money Hotel. With Clean rooms, nice houskeeping and average type breakfast. Its costed me around USD 100 per night during May and the close by 5 stars there normally cost the double.

The washrooms are clean altough not with modern amenities but more like a fit for purpose. Rooms and bedding is clean and comfortable. Rooms are big with Masjid view especially the XXX3 series rooms like 1003.

Considering the fact that most people who visit Medinah would spend most of their time visiting holy places and spending time in Masjid Nabwi (Prophet PBUH's Mosque) so i strongly recommend this Hotel especially due to the price one pays for it.

This hotel has so many names; Elaf Taiba, Elaf Al Huda, but I always know it as Dallah Taiba Hotel. I first stayed here in August 2007 and again in Feb 2011. I really like it's proximity to the Mosque. it's situated at the rear of the mosque aout 100 yards from the entrance to the courtyard and the ladies part of the mosque. The cleanliness is of a high standard. Our room was on the executive floor and quite peaceful. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and varied. Staff are polite and efficient. There is a helipad on the roof of the hotel. I enquired about the possibility of a helicopter to the airport but it is reserved for royalty only. Not a problem as a taxi only takes 15 mins. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
