“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

After reading the TA reviews I was extremely pleasantly surprised - this is a great hotel, and cannot understand the negative reviews.
Admittedly the hotel is not a cosy, traditional type - but it is a very comfortable place with probably the biggest standard rooms I have stayed in.
Great sleep quality, good bathroom with plenty of hot water, great views from the 5th floor restaurant, and good food.
Best hotel we stayed in during our business trip to Saudi - look forward to staying there again.

“abha palace, truly splendid”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

For this Eid al-Adha we stayed at Abha Palace hotel for three days. The hotel is situated in a picturesque location surrounded by rolling hills and winding roads. The hotel's glass and steel facade is very enchanting and a welcome departure from usual brick and mortar structure that we see in most hotels. Hotel's staff are very friendly and always ready to help with sincere smile and hospitality. I really enjoyed their company. Front desk guys too were ever ready to help you. The rooms are well kept, very clean and you can see the house keeping staff always around to the place tidy. Room service was fantastic and whenever we asked for hot water for our child the attendants didn't take more than five minutes to arrive with water.
Complimentary break fast service too was very good and filled with variety. The waiters are always around you to see if you need any help and especially with children these guys were amazing.
We, two families, stayed three days from Monday - wednesday (7-11-2011 to 9-11-2011) in room #s 435, 207 and 208 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abha Palace hotel. In a nutshell, the hotel is run by a very knowledgeable, professional and well meaning people to make people's stay and holidays a memorable experience.

“Ugly Hotel”

This is disappointed hotel made me count minutes to leave ... poor service, low quality, no good transportation.
Abha City has wonderful nature and this hotel is located in a very nice location in the city with a fantastic view with mountain landscape, while temperature in most of Saudi Cities are +50 in summer , it' wouldn't exceed 30" there and easily to find yourself while you are standing balcony move beside you.
Low quality Staff, old and bad gym & bad food ...although all of above It will be my only choice if I'll visit Abha again because simply it's the best of available !!!

Room Tip: The highest the better, may you ask the Dam view

“Massive souless place. Everything on a massive scale. Nice empty pool. Food very good.”

Not somewhere I would go unless someone else was paying. Everthing is on an industrial scale. Can't believe hotels charge for internet use in this day and age.

“Comfortable and roomy hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

The design of the hotel obviously focused on creating a feeling of spaciousness, the reception area and waiting lounges are absolutely huge! Executive Bedrooms are very comfortable. Food in the hotel is very good and the staff in the Restaurant are especially friendly and willing to help. The only downside is the charge for broadband, I don't know why hotels charge for this, it's petty and irritable in this modern age
