Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad hotel. It's just not a four star hotel by European or American standards, whilst the rates are far from cheap.

In theory, it's all there. The fancy lobby, the nice looking suite, and (as far as Krasnaya Polyana goes) a good location. But in practice, the service is lousy at best, the food is completely uninspired and the whole hotel has a "I don't give a crap" typical Russian air to it.

Also consider that a large proportion of the clientèle are regional small time gangsters/politicians, behaving accordingly.
