The room was comfortable, but pushing two singles together does not make a king size bed, especially with a 4 inch gap between the mattresses. Only one small trash can, in the bathroom, in a junior suite with separate BR and sitting area and foyer. Bathroom was ultramodern, with good lighting, bidet and Grohe fixtures. But the shag throw rugs in the sitting room and BR were a little too grungy. I came to town to visit a friend and they wouldn't let her onto the elevator to see my room without completing a "registration process". She was offended, I was too. The breakfast buffet was a little uneven. The Russian idea of scrambled eggs is something that has the color and consistency of grits. There were a number of foods I could not identify. The fresh juices, pastries, cheeses, and rtea selection were great. We tried to eat lunch in the same room the breakfast buffet was served but were informed that the only food available was in the bar -- never mentioning the other restaurant directly upstairs, which was in fact open for lunch. I did feel very secure there, as staff is on call downstairs and on each floor 24 hours a day. I was offered a substantial reduction in the bill on checkout without asking. I would recommend this hotel as long your expectations are adjusted accordingly -- Novosibirsk is not your typical vacation destination.
