Stayed here for 2 nights in Feb. Hotel looks a little weird and out of place from the outside (a bit like Brighton promenade!). However, had a fantastic room on the top floor overlooking the amazing frozen Lake Baikal :) Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, warm and comfy. Hotel right in the heart of tiny Listvyanka, and thankfully when we went, there wasnt much to do, so nice realxing time! Slight down side, breakfast was a bit strange and unorganised. All in all tho, a great hotel and would recommend to family and friends.

Stayed her for one night during out trip to Baikal. Hotel is only a few years old and rather nice looking. Front desk staff were very nice and service oriented. Rooms are extremely small and not very comfortable. They have Aircon, TV and a small bathroom. If you sre staying for more than one night I would recomend upgrading to a bigger room. Breakfast was really almost a joke and the staff apeared to have 0 Control as to who was supposed to do what. They would put out one thing at a time, so when there was cheese you had to grab what you could. When the bread came you had to do the same there. I mean How difficult is it to run a breakfast buffet.

Hotel has Wifi and conection speed is good. 250 Rub for 2 hours

Not much to do in Listvyanka, exept beer tents and souvenir shopping. We took a boat trip with MS Babuskin and this was nice. Unless you plan to do outdoor activities etc 1 night is more than sufficient

Taxi from irkutsk was 2000 rubles, and we took a bus on the return trip that runs right outside the hotel for 80 Ruble pr person

We booked through www. baikalvisa.com and paid 3400 Rub per night

60 Rooms, Internet, opened June 2006, front rooms have great views over Lake Baikal, most rooms quite small, friendly English speaking front desk staff, satisfactory breakfast in a nicely decorated dining room, internet available via ethernet connection in each room, a WiFi system was under construction. Front door has the name MARK with the R printed backwards but apparently this is converts to Mayak in English
