Last summer I visited St Petersburg. I stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel. This hotel is located far from city center. But there's a subway station very close to the hotel. This hotel is not suitable for ordinary traveler. It is a four star hotel, but after I arrived there I was shocked! There was no sign to prove its stars! The lobby is too small. And staff cannot speak English well! You should know Russian people have no interest in learning English!!! My room was very simple and basic. Believe it or not the room stank! I didn't find toothbrush and toothpaste. Guests only can access the Internet in the lobby. Every morning I had to wait almost 20 to 30 minutes for elevator. And this was very annoying since I traveled with group.

I was staying in Holiday Inn MV for sleep during the 2 days business trip. I arrived to the hotel around 11:00 am. Although the check in starts at 14.00, i was checked in already at 13.00.

The room was very clean and tidy. There was a kettle, some complimetary tea and coffee, cutlery, LCD TV with the function of the player and alarm clock, Wi-Fi Internet (for additional charge), information about the hotel and other services. The bathroom was also perfectly clear. A shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, shower cap, hair dryer and white towels of various sizes were also available for each person. Maid service was performed both days and in time.

I had breakfasts included which were very various and tasty. You can enjoy porridge, cheese, ham, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, eggs (boiled and omelet), toasts, pastries, jam and so on. As for drinks, tea (black, green, herbal, etc.), coffee, milk (fat, skim), juices were also included.

The staff was quite friendly and met me in the mornings smiling and wishing you good morning and were happy to answer your questions and comments.

I loved this hotel much and I'm sure to stop there next time i would be around.

Great location with reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast with some specials from Chief of Hotel. So tasty. Very nice bar on second floor. I tried russian pirozhki (very tasty) Do don forget about dining - visit Avangard - russian and european cuisine

And just imagine - souvenir shop with good prices and supermarket near hotel (You can buy there souvenirs also - )

Great location. Ample of car park, and a store nearby. The bar lounge and the breakfast lounge were really great. Also there is a small gift shop which has real cool stuff!!
