Although this is listed as a hotel, it is actually just some rooms in an old building. Very hard to find and no staff there during the night. I agree with previous review- the hotel was dirty. Some of the dishes in my room hadn't been washed and the "office/reception" area had piles of rubbish. The manager apologised for this saying that builders had left it there but he made no attempt to remove any of it over the 4 days I stayed there. I was provided with one very small towel (hand-towel size) for the entire stay. Some rooms have been renovated & provide a microwave & fridge. Beds aren't made & I think only a cursory cleaning is given between lettings. Many of the guests had problems with the key to the apartment- it was very hard to operate. My room was next to the door & I rescued several people who were struggling to get in.
The single room cost about $55US/night. Because accommodation is expensive in St Petersburgh it was probably appropriately priced. If the owners are serious about attracting toursits they'll have to lift their game with cleanliness & should provide a staff member on site at night.
