The apartment is renovated but it's in a building reminiscent of the South Bronx. The hallway was dark and dirty. The apartment is on the top floor and you don't get room service. I had to use the same towel for six days. As for security, there is none. The front door has a combination type lock and who knows how many people know the combination. The office to pick up the key is far from the apartment and the staff isn't always accessible. The water turned off twice while I showered. My advice stay at a traditional hotel unless you feel like "slumming it."

Studio apartment looks exactly as on website, modern and clean with new bathroom and kitchen areas. Has a walk-out balcony and big windows, providing excellent ventillation, light, or warmth as needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking items, with a new microwave and stove top. Good security and wonderful neighborhood, close to everything including grocery store, metro and bus lines. as well as famous places like the Hermitage and the Russian Museum. Managment on call 24 hours if needed. One warning: there is no elevator and the studio is on the fifth floor! I counted seventy steps between each floor. These apartments are for the strong and healthy who can manage the stairs with luggage. Don't be put off by the stairwell. All Russian apartment buildings have stairwells that look like crime scenes. These apartments are beautiful and a good buy.
