The Novotel is just off Nevsky Prospect, the main street for tourists in SPB, and from there you can walk to most attractions or take the metro. The hotel itself is new and modern. The furnishings seemed in the blond woid/Swedish mode. My room was small but well laid out and very nice. The concierge was quite nice and helpful and there's someone on duty til 11pm.

I would recommend the hotel, paid 120 euro / night B&B and it is worth it considering location, size of room and comfort. When you know the average room rate in St Pet or Moscow, this is a good value.
Hotel is modern lacks of personality, and you can easily get lost with all the wings of the hotel (it is really big, in several buildings). But rooms are clean, well maintained. Only -, the matress is a bit soft for me, I would prefer a harder one.
To be recommended, even breakfast is correct.

Hotel is all what we can expect from middle range European chain hotels - service is good, you can always count on reception for any information or help. Breakfast is very various. Rooms are very clean and enough of space. Internet is Free of charge and in good speed.
Hotel is near a metro station at 50 meters from main street - very important for tourism.
Defiantly, I will continue using this hotel for my trips to Saint Petersburg!

Just returned from 4 nights in St Petersburg and the hotel was spot on....ideally located to get around the city. Nice room (8th floor), overlooking a park area, bathroom etc. was maodern and spotlessly clean. We didn't eat in the hotel so couldn't comment on that but the public areas were clean and very modern, the staff helpfull and polite.

If you choose this hotel don't waste the outrageous taxi fare from the airport, once you've connected to the metro system the hotel is only 200 yards from Mayakovskaya station on the green line (exit the station onto Nevsky Prospect, cross the road and go up the street past KFC...200 yards and you're there).
