The hotel is close to the airport which makes it very convenient for business. It will take you only 20 minutes by taxi and will cost you appr. 800 rub to get there. It's not very close to the city center though. The hotel offers standard, business rooms and suites. Free Wi-Fi is only provided if you stay in a business room or suite.

There are several restaurants on the territory - Japanese one and onsite brewery "Paulaner" which is very loud in the evenings. Both restaurants are open till 1am, but kitchen closes at 12am or even earlier and opens at 12 pm. So, if you missed the breakfast the only way to get food is to cross the street and find a cosy cafe or a bar. Anyway, breakfast is just average so you won't miss a lot.

Rooms are clean, room service is fine. There is also a SPA salon in the hotel offering saunas, pool and different types of massage. If you stay in a business room or suite you'll get 10-15% discount which is nice.

To submit all the above the hotel is good for business but it's hardly a touristic spot.

Located on the way from airport to city center this typical 3* tourist hotel may be good if you are on budget and get good rate. Renovated, it is advertised as 4*, but it is not true. Metro station is nearby, so you can travel by metro (day time city is difficult to drive by taxi). Rooms are clean. Food is mediocre.
To note that this hotel is used by airport to put passengers of delayed flights for the night. It is not as ugly as NYC hotels near JFK, but please note that hotel provide the cheaper breakfast to these customers, so, ask which breakfast area is for you.

Hotel location close to the airport is great, and the Moskovsky Prospekt Metro station is a stone's throw away, making for a cheap and quick trip into the City Centre. The bars and restaurant are always busy, and the microbrewery is very good. Maybe the dissatisfied reviewers are not quite up to date about what an expensive city St Petersburg is.
