stayed there during a company conference. Its a nice hotel, huge in size, close to the gulf of finland, small market is nearby but the city centre is a bit of a distance. overall a good experience. the hotel provides a nice view.

We spent three nights at this hotel as part of a Trafalgar tour. Our room was clean and the beds were narrow but they had a good mattress. Furnishings were minimal but perfectly adequate. Since we did our travels as part of a group, the distance from the city center was not a problem. If you are part of a tour group, you should be fine at this hotel, If you are on your own, I would recommend a location closer the center. We did enjoy our stay, the main floor of the hotel is quiet impressive and also the size of the hotel.
I would have appreciated having coffee/tea making facilities in the room and also some free bottled water.
There is a grocery close by but restaurants are somewhat limited. The only food we ate at the hotel was the included buffet breakfast. Food was plentiful but not memorable. The breads in particular were rather stale.

The hotel is very big, you have to remember the location of your room carefully if you gonna stay there for few days. I can't tell the location because i joined a group tour to visit St. Petersburg. Room is clean but no free wifi. There is a supermarket next to the hotel, where you can buy some local snack and drink especially alcoholic drink which is cheap.
And, there is a very big swimming pool i think it is good if you travel with kids in Summer.

We stayed here during a conference and, though I was hesitant about our stay based on reviews on this site, I was content with the hotel. Room was comfortable, no problems checking in and staff was cordial and all spoke English. Buffet breakfast was fine, and ample enough to hold us until well in the afternoon. Cash was readily available at ATMS in the lobby, and a taxi to the center of town was 440 rubles, or about $13. The metro is not that far away -- an 80 year old couple in our group was able to walk to the station, so I imagine most able bodied younger adults could manage just fine. All in all, not disappointed. I am sure that a hotel in the center of town would be nicer for most tourists, but aside from the distance from the center of town, we found this hotel perfectly fine.
