We recently stayed at the hotel for three nights in late November 2004. The hotel was clean and quiet. We stayed in a junior suite - bedroom, sitting room, bathroom. The room was sparsely decorated and furnished in a modern(?) Norweigan style, It had a small refrigerator, but none of the other niceties you would expect to find in a western style hotel, coffee maker, blow dryer, ironing board. Overall, the hotel was quite servicable for our needs. It is centrally located, if shopping or sight seeing is your thing.
We ate in the hotel restaraunt a couple of times. We were the only customers there both times, but the food was good nonetheless. On some evenings, there is live entertainment. There was a woman singer accompanied on keyboards, singing in English. one of the evenings we were there.
There is a bar in the main lobby, which is great for unwinding at the end of the day. The only problem there was that the ladies of the evening outnumbered the regular guests. Another source of live entertainment I suppose.
