Hi, I think I will always remember this hotel in Moscow because it was the place where I stayed in my first trip to Moscow. I stayed there for 5 nights. I was impressed by the high level of attention staff gave to me and my girlfriend. I had a little "a priori" about the Holiday Inn chain hotel. I don't know a kind of illogical french reflex. Clearly this is a great four stars hotel. Clean, well organized, the breakfast a classic continental was almost western-style but with you also had the possibility to taste real russian specialities. The place was calm, the staff was again great, mostly young people with a very good level of english.
This hotel is not far from the metro station Rikskaya (sorry for the writing). This station is just one far away from the line 5, the circular line around Moscow. A very intelligent design that many other metros in the world could take as an example. The quarter is calm and during our first night we could walk around the streets close to the hotel to find a nice typical russin restaurant and we found it. Close to the hotel there's a small mini-market where you can find almost everything and is open 24/24 as many shops in this big city of Moscow.
I advice this hotel for couples like us. You'll appreciate ! Well the only thing to be aware is the price of wi-fi. about 20 euros a day in your room. You get free in the hall or bar but you have to consume at least once. I took a beer for 340 rubles and it was enough I could get wi-fi every time I wanted. Well, maybe the hotel can do something, taking into account prices of this hotel. A good value for about 125 euros a night

Very helpful and friendly staff at this standard HI. Sizable, standard, but quiet rooms

Moscow in December is not a pleasant place...its still dark at 10am and its cold...
However, the staff at this Holiday Inn make this the warmest spot in town
Although there are always lots of tourists, this is really a good business hotel. Slightly out of town but with easy access, as much as possible in a city of over 400 square miles, there is a metro station nearby and its on the ring road
But its the staff that really make the difference between this hotel and others
Always a personal welcome, a room on the executive floor, late check out
Special mentions are Victor behind the bar, who remembers everyone and their drink and Sergey on Front desk (has is stopped snowing yet Sergey?)
Its a very relaxed atomosphere which is what you need during the long dark days

Hotel is well located for business — near metro an on the 3rd Moscow Ring. Breakfast is good also.
Wifi is surprising expensive — 20€ a day is crazy. Guys, there is 2012 knocking in the doors!
