“Convenient for Arrivals or Departures to St Petersnurg”

I've been traveling to Moscow for 20 years and have stayed in many hotels there. Some good, some not so good - and almost all over-priced! The Hilton is one of the nicest, cleanest properties with a location especially good if you are traveling to/from St Pete by train. It is relatively easy to get around and to central Moscow by Metro if you are comfortable doing so. We had two rooms, the upgraded one was well worth the money with one of the nicer/larger bathrooms found in Russia. Breakfast is pricey (roughly $40) so we just bought cheese, fruit, etc and ate in our comfortable room. Coffee and coffeemaker in the room. I'd stay there again.

“Very good business hotel in Moscow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Another stay in this hotel last January. Booked Executive Room, was upgraded to Junior Suite (as Hilton Gold). Very good service at the reception, in the lobby and the Executive Lounge. Comfortable bed, good breakfast spread.

The hotel is not right in the center, but the closest metro station is less than five minutes from the hotel, and in Moscow the metro is really the way to go.

I did not use the gym or the pool this time around, but both are very good, although in the basement.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the higher floors or away from the Kalanchevskaya Ulitsa. The traffic gets pretty...

“Very Good Hotel for Moscow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I spent a couple (very cold) days in Moscow recently on a business trip. I found the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya to be convenient both for my work obligations and some sight-seeing in the evenings. It is not too close but not too far from the airport, and the same is true for the distance to Red Square and all its nearby attractions. It is very close to several metro stations, which are a convenient way to get around town to avoid the notorious Moscow traffic.

The hotel is located in one of Moscow's famous "Seven Sisters" buildings, and the architecture both inside and outside is very impressive. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the in-room amenities were nice. I (and some of my colleagues) noted some difficulties in regulating the room temperature, but in Moscow in January I'll definitely take a bit warmer than cold.

The Club Lounge for Hilton Honors members was fantastic, great service and very tasty snacks (especially the soups).

If I return to Moscow, I will definitely strongly consider the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya.

Room Tip: higher up rooms that face the metro stations have nice views

“Very Cool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

The Hilton Moscow is a beautiful and historic hotel, a restored "Seven Sisters" skyscraper done in the Stalinist style. It is clear that Hilton spent a lot of money to bring the building into the 21st century, and the lobby is particularly impressive. The rooms are all modern and comfortable, although small (like just about every hotel in Moscow, for that matter). Of special note for tourists is the fact that service is outstanding; Moscow has a reputation for being a rude city, and at times in my experience, the city has lived up to that reputation. However, I came away very impressed with the staff at Hilton, which I found to be friendly, accommodating, and eager to please. They certainly made what had previously been a difficult couple days in Russia a lot easier. The deduction is solely for the location. It's a bit of a drive or a trip on the Metro to get to the Red Square area, and the area surrounding the hotel is not the most beautiful part of Moscow. That one minor gripe aside, this was an excellent hotel, especially for the price.

“Excellent location, atmosphere and rooms.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Stayed here four times now and find hotel to be excellent. The location is great once you "get the nerve" to use the Metro. My first trip on merto was a bit intimidating as I dont read Russian but once you can match stations with metro map all is good. After 2nd trip I was wondering why I was worried in first place. Getting to Red square (3 stops) only takes minutes and never have to wait more than 3 minutes for a train. Walking to Red Square takes about 30 mins or so, strolling not power walking. Having just praised the location, when you use the Metro, I didn't see many Restaurants/bars in the immediate vacinity of hotel. Mind you I didn't look , just walked to Metro and went in to Red square each evening where there were plenty.
Rooms fantastically layed out, with shape of the building.
Breakfast had a large variety and omlette station etc.
Service always plesent and friendly.
Only negative and it's not much of a one considering the quality of hotel, was the price of Food/Drink in hotel. Club sandwich was aprox 24 euros. I realise its a 5 star hotel in an expensive city but...................
Overall would reccommend it to anyone.

ps the sandwich was fantastic.

Room Tip: High floor rooms have fantastic view.
