To begin with, the hotel is located in an iconic building, that is architecturally impressive. The location on the Moscow river without any obstruction is incredible, and the view of the famous "white house" is breathtaking from the italian restaurant at the top of the hotel.
The rooms are classic, yet completely up to date. Flat screen tv, wireless, very comfortable bed. Lighting could benefit from a few more lumens on the energy saving bulbs though.
The bathroom is large, classic, but completely up to date. Rooms are extremely well insulated, and can hardly hear any external noise.
Service overall is very responsive. Waiting time for the elevators in the lower floors (4-11) is virtually none.
Food options are great, with several great quality restaurants. The italian at the top was great, and again, the view from the covered veranda is simply incredible. Fantastic place for a romantic dinner.
Lobby bar is always very busy, with afternoon tea, although prices are a bit on the high side.
In summary, the hotel itself, the location close to everything, and the view, as well as the service, make this an easy choice when traveling to Moscow.

A beautiful old feel to a 40'sbuilding. It is massive, covering several city blocks and is one of the seven Stalin Buildings in Moscow. The room is small with teo beds and a bath. The beds have typical Russian mattress (thin) but was clean and had a great view of the river and the White House. The floors were all hand laid wood as were many of the walls. Ver central location with many shops nearby.

The hotel rooms, staff, wellness center, lobby and restaurants leave little room for improvement, it is just wonderful, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Wellness center has an olympic size swimming pool, whirlpools, saunas, hamam....about a 100 most modern machines

Very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and empathetic.The receptionist Anastasia was extremely helpful and welcoming with very very good english.
Breakfasts in the hotel restaurant were plentiful and the dining room had a very nice atmosphere.The room was large and the bed so comfortable.
But getting service from the concierge was a complete waste of time. Michael often dithered and fussed over nothing and at the end of the process gave me wrong information.
