Pleasantly surprised when entering the room... Very clean, cosy even, excellent bed, good bed cover nicely prepared, chocolate... Good breakfast buffet (not included in the room rate though, 1.300 roubles... €32,5...). Overall a good business hotel and within walking distance from Smolenskaya Metro station.

Strangely enough I had a different bed cover the following day and the bed wasn't prepared any more (not that this is important for me but why do it the previous day and not the next evening...) No chocolate, no evening service... No shampoo or shower gel refreshment. Booking.com prices are sharp and maybe this is the reason the hotel economises on such little details.

Spent a week here and was very pleased about the location at the end of Arbat, directly across from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a stone's throw from the Metro. The room was fine and the breakfast was good, but the overall impression I had was "cold"; the hotel just feels sterile and lacks any sort of charisma. Although I have no specific complaints or issues, I will not stay here again simply because of the hotel's lack of character.

The golden ring is probably the best value for money in Moscow (where nothing is cheap for travellers) in the 4* range. The hotel is efficient and the location is excellent. it is possible to get better hotels but they are way to far out or too far from the metro.

Hotel is nice, not so good value for money. Very good location, but its old, with very heavy decor, everything is for additional payment.
