I have stayed in this hotel in the end of November 2011 for business purposes. The hotel room has an old architectural style, and with the room's very high ceiling, huge windows and old furniture you feel like you have been transported 30 years ago to the communist era. Although everything seems a little old in the room, it is comfortable. The weather was around -5 Celcius in the evenings but I never felt any coldness or a breeze in the room. The isolation both in terms of weather and sound is perfect. Also bear in mind that there is an extra air condition in the room which I didn't even use in addition to the central heating. Breakfast is okay, at the level of a three star maybe. The location of the hotel is great, very close to Kremlin and the Red Square. Nevertheless, the bar in the hotel is almost always empty, the lobby and its surroundings have always few people. So if you like crowded places and rush, this place is not for you. The internet is NOT free and I must admit it is quiet expensive. All in all, this hotel offers you nothing special but a good nights sleep.
