“I still wonder if good or bad”

Excellent location , bath towel a total joke when you pay 250$ per night without breakfast, small old and hard ... Staff is better than before. Clean room tiny bathroom. I have been 3 times at Novotel because location is practical for me but I never see any Novotel with such bathroom towel , the room was so warm air conditioning didn't work and impossible to open the window a bit. Ok it was freezing outside but I like good air circulation , breakfast is a total rip off .. A very nice French bakery next to it offering great quality breakfast. So don't bother to have it at the hotel it's a waste of money.

“Spartan business hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Standard business hotel in the center of Moscow. Rooms are very basic: good beds, clean and free internet.
Location is perfect: subway station is 20m from the hotel door, and 100m down the road there is a good and not expensive french restaurant (le petit pain)
We tried the hotel restaurant and it's terrible. Bad service and bad food, so better avoid it.

If you are in Moscow and want a no thrills hotel in a good location, this is a good hotel.

I strongly recommend to take the airport express + subway to go to the hotel. I arrived at Domodedevo airport at 18.00, took a taxi to the hotel and it took me 3 and half hours to arrive! One and half hours to Sheremitievo airport when I left the hotel. So better avoid Moscow traffic

“Great location ...... sort of. Service was terrible”

First of all, upon check in we were kept waiting at the desk while one receptionist was doing another receptionists hair in the back office and they could see us waiting. The hotel was located above the metro which was great. When we went out for the very first time after checking in, we asked for directions on how to get to Red Square and we were told just to take the metro and follow the grey metro metro line, fine, off we went to get the train, we get to the platform and realise we don't know which side to catch the train on, so up we went back to the hotel to ask for clearer directions and a map. Shouldn't we have been given a map in the first instance? If you see the train lines you will know what I mean. At the train station no one speaks any English at all so you mainly rely upon maps and what your hotel can explain to you. On another night we asked where we could eat and have some drinks and we were given the great explanation of "over the road"!?!

The rooms are huge and clean, room serviced everyday. The only down side I would have is that the TV is way too small for such a huge room, and the blanket is way too small for the bed.

Overall, this hotel is in a great location if you sort yourself out with the train lines, but don't expect great service from the front desk hotel staff, they just seem not that interested in their job. We got better smiles from the two CSI looking guys constantly situated in the hotel lobby who would attract the attention of the staff if we so dared to ask a question! Don't bother staying here for the service you get.

Room Tip: Make sure you are familiar with the train lines before booking this hotel, it is very hard to get so...
