“A place we feel on holidays even when on business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Wonderful place to stay for a business trip or a sightseeing tour close to Kremlin and city centre.
The hotel is freshly equiped, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, breakfast buffet is wonderful
We dined in a restaurant located closely and enjoyed the atmoshere as well.
Comfortably located to use the public transportation.
Will go back again with pleasure.

“Over-rated”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I was booked into the Park Inn Sadu by a travel agent after requesting the Radisson Slavanskaya, being told that this was a newer four star property. Not even close to a four star property. Let's start with the service, receptionists were not helpful and appeared uninterested in helping the guests. In the restaurant, staff were consistently sitting on the counter and playing on I-pads or texting on cell phones. Several times over my visit, I had to get up from my table to approach restaurant staff for service.

Now for the room, although it was fairly clean, it was small. Maybe 20 square meters at most feeling like a closet. No tea/coffee making facilities. No iron and ironing board. I had to call for one and when requesting pressing service for my suit, was told could not be done so I would attend my meeting a bit wrinkled. Planned to workout in the gym, but there is none. So instead I stayed in a room that was overly hot with lack of control to lower the heat.

I felt more like I was at an Ibis than what was supposed to be a four star. Overpriced at $300 per night for what I got. Oh yes, and when requesting a late check out by an hour, was told not possible without looking into my reservation.

Recommendation: Stay Elsewhere!

“Great place 30 minutes from the Kremlin”

I stayed here for four nights and was very pleased. The staff spoke excellent English and the breakfast buffet was extensive (and included!). Just a 15 minute walk to the Tretiakov Gallery and another 15 to Red Square. I a would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Moscow.

“Comfortable and Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel in the framework of a business trip with about 1day free for sightseeing.
It is perfectly situated for seeing the area of the Kremlin.
I was offered a quiet room on the side of the hotel not on the street and it was excellent;my colleague got a room on the street 5th floor and he requested a transfer which he got without any fuss.
On evenings when we chose to stay in the hotel and work the food in the restaurant was fine.
Breakfast was also good.
One morning they were swamped with a group of tourists but that can happen anywhere.

Room Tip: Ask for room not facing the street

“I stay here regularly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I am frequent visitor to Moscow. I have stayed at a number of the fancy hotels in Moscow, (the Lotte, Park Hyatt, to name a few) but I prefer this place. A few reasons

- Location
The location cannot be beat. It is literally 5 minutes from the Polyanka Metro stop, and a quick hop to Paveletsakaya, easy access to the ring road. Across the street is the Hotel President, which is a bastian of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and hosts overseas dignitaries. The area of Polyanka is a government/office area. Arround you is the Ministry of Health offices.
The Kremlin in nearby. Down the street is a supermarket.

Compare this withe one of the hotels that used to be part of the Olympics, essentially in the middle of nowhere.

-Service
While this is not a 5 star luxury property (and certainly does not advertise itself a such), I appreciate the extra help the hotel went to get me taxi, provide directions, and sometimes fetching a car. i have also utilized the laundry services (prompt).

-Security
I liked the visible security in the hallways. Also at night, Polyanka is very safe area.

If you are looking for a nice base to visit Moscow, this place is perfect. Those that desire extra amenities, best look elsewhere.

Things to Note:
-The internet is not free (except in the lobby). Buy Beeline internet cards. Reasonable speed. Around 500 RUB a day.
-Breakfast is ok, it never changes, but is generally acceptable
-While the lobby is a little tired, the rooms were redone a few years back. I found the bathroom odd, but its ok. Long bathtub, no shower stall. A little short on the bath products. I constantly have to ask/bring my own
-The hotel (my suspicion) is owned by someone from Kazakhstan. The front desk has the time from Brussels (the Redizor Group?), Moscow (duh) and Astana. Also the hotel TV systems feature a few Kazakh tv stations.
