We decided to book a room having a flight at 6am. We checked in the evening before departure and enjoyed the small but cosy hotel's health club facility (free for guests). The rooms are basic but quite large and nice decorated. The view from the room is something that needs improvement but we did not come for the view. We had a good sleep in the comfortable beds although from time to time we could hear planes above. Still not an issue. The next morning we had a mini coach waiting for us (every hour from 4am, also free for guests, beat that!) and we arrived smoothly at the airport in about 10 minutes. Overall, not a bad experience, this airport hotel is what is needed for an early flight.

We got put up here when our British Airways flight was cancelled, they provide a free hourly shuttle bus to the airport which is only a short drive away.

The rooms were fine, the on site restaurant gave decent enough food and the staff were friendly. The biggest surprise how ever was the strip bar in the basement!

Decor leaves a bit to be desired but the point of this hotel is it's early airport shuttle, be warned how ever breakfast is not served until around 6.30.

I stayed at Rin Otopeni for my last night in Romania, before catching an early morning flight out of Otopeni. I reserved online and the affordable rate included a free airport transfer the next morning. Overall it was the perfect "airport hotel" to suit my needs. The room was simple and the bathroom was beginning to show its age, but the bed was THE best bed I've ever slept in! The mattress was perfect and the pillows were out-of-this-world. When I woke up in the morning I seriously considered missing my 7:00 am flight to spend more time in the bed!

The hotel also has a swimming pool, sauna and fitness center, but I arrived too late to use the facilities. Airport transfers run every thirty minutes (I think) from 5:00 am. Book the night before or when you arrive- the shuttle was totally when I took it. I had a quick dessert in the restaurant (the papanasi were great!) and noticed the menu looked good.

Between the facilities, the food and THE BED, I wish I'd arrived earlier and stayed a bit longer!

A vacation depends on how it ends, not starts; therefore, I booked the Hotel Rin because of the pool and location. The Hotel Confort next door would have been a better choice, however, for price. Rin is expensive andthe staff are exhausted, but they and the pool are very nice. There is no complimentary shampoo, just body wash, and the shower door didn't work in my son's room. (I actually stayed at Rin twice -- before and after a side-trip to Turkey.) I would stay at the Hotel Confort, perhaps, next door but very much more likely would stay at the 4Seasons, also not far from the airport. Now that hotel was fabulous.
