Century 21 is a solid budget option if you want to stay in downtown Iloilo - close to the port for trips to Guimaras. The room is pretty basic, but the linens were a bit sketchy with a few stains and dingy towels... and our room / hallway had a bit of an odd odor. Service was good with very friendly doorman / porters and wifi internet is cheap at 100 pesos per day.

HOWEVER, For an extra $10 USD / night you can stay at its more modern sister hotel, Smallville 21, which is brand new with much nicer rooms & bathrooms.

i stayed in the century 21 on many occations usually through business and pleasure.i enjoyed my time found staff helpfull and property clean.food is good but not great.reception helpful.and manageress was very nice, has underground parking.
will be returning again my next trip.good value.

stained bedsheets, cracked walls, stained and used towels (gross!!!!), broken AC, smelly lobby and hallways, yellow water in bathroom...should I go on?

I'm concerned about the inability to book this property directly via the E-Mail address it furnishes on its web page and management's cavalier non interest in the situation.

Two days ago I wrote to the hotel requesting a reservation for dates in October 2008 and received the following:

"We have temporarily discontinued online reservations. Kindly
contact us with the information below."

Amongst the options given was, you guessed it, the hotel's web page and E-Mail address. The hotel answered my E-Mail with an E-Mail suggesting that it does not do business by E-Mail. Go figure!

I questioned this and received no reply at all.

I question the sincerity of this property's management to conduct business in the internet age.

It seems a lost opportunity as the hotel has foregone the opportunity to demonstrate the superior rating given by others.

I'd say: BEWARE!
