Title says it all...
quiet, green, small swimming pool, family like, laid back, free wifi, but in 10 minutes walking distance your in the middle of urban life. Mango Square, Fuente Osmena, Robinson and a 10 minutes taxi ride to Ayala Mall (even walked it once - it's only 1.5km).
Rooms are basic and a bit run down but clean - nothing special; rate is around 1.100 PHP (single room), 1.300 PHP (double w/ breakfast) and 1.500 PHP per pax! in double room during Sinulog (parade passing by on General Maxilom Ave.).
Staff is very friendly, food portions are tiny, but there are plenty of food stalls and restaurants nearby. Most annoying thing have been the old, noisy and bad working aircons.

The staff that work in the hotel were terrific, other than that, you have an owner that is grumpy and unfriendly, the rooms are run down, locks on the doors did not work well, showers and taps not working properly, you are not allowed to bring in a friend without a prior permission and not beyond 11.00pm.
But wait there is more: If you order food from outside like a pizza or anything, the hotel will charge you half of that price, (if food costed you 1000 pesos, hotel charges 500 pesos on top) is this insane or what? the restaurant food not good and if you ask for something on the menu chances are they don't have it. Also when we lost power the generator failed to start so we were without power till it got fixed but were not allowed to use air con. and TV. There are times they would have only one room occupied in the entire hotel, staff tell me that is because they don't have repeated visitors.
The whole place looks like a dump. I am going back in January but not to the Vacation hotel...

“I Love this Hotel!!”

I do not know where to start! this Hotel offers great customer service and its got WOW factor...just great service and the STAFF ARE THE BEST PEOPLE!!! I stay for 17 nights and was sad when i departed! Just has a cozy "homely" feel about the place.
The Room was well set out and Bathroom was good. It wasn't a Glitzy Hotel, but i didnt want Glitzy. This is more Practical and Homely - which is just what i wanted. The "Chief" is a great guy, and always ready to stop for a chat. Many Thanks to Venus in the front office and her colleagues for handling my booking, the Kitchen and Cafe Staff are really kind. I Miss this Hotel!!

I really look forward to staying here again in the future with my Wife. Thanks Vacation Hotel! Your simply the best!

“Its where I always stay”

Whenever I go to Cebu I stay at Vacation Hotel. It is in an easy to get to location (although it can be hard to get a cab in rush hour!). The staff are very welcoming and look after you very well. The food is good, or you can go across the road. The area is pretty safe and you can store your baggage if you go on other trips. Lots of rooms have been done up over the last couple of years and the aircon works well.

“Loved It!”

Vacation Hotel Cebu is quaint and quiet. But it's quick when it comes to service. The staff are warm and the food is okay. Needs improvement on the small pool, and the internet facility is not updated. Other than that, everything's fine. I will come back.
