I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tambuli East and West Beach Club. I was shocked at the spacious grounds in which they have. Very large Place with a lot of Walkways and Garden Areas. It was very nice and grounds was kept very clean. Not a lot of outside furniture and setting places in the garden areas, but very nice with large trees and sand, and very shaded and cool place to hang out. They have two pools, one which is larger than the other. Both are maintained very well. They are also two restaurants and bar areas, which have a great selection of drinks and food. The complimentary breakfast that comes with most rooms was very nice. Large Selection on the Buffet to choose from.. All the staff was very nice and accommodating. Always ready to lend a helping hand, and trying to make you stay as comfortable as possible. The beach area was also very nice.. It could stand a little more maintained and cleaning, but all in all it was big enough and the sand, while not pure white, was a joy.. Being I am not a big beach person, it was fine for me. After the beach area, the sand runs out very fast and then you have a green sea grass floor on the bottom of the ocean. At first I did not care much for walking in the grass, but after a while it was fine, and is actually very soft on your feet..
They have all the water sports available right on the beach. You can take just about any kind of tour, water sport you can imagine.. I was disappointed in the prices, as they was quite expensive.. I would suggest to negotiate and have them lower the price some. They are many other cheaper and great quality tours and water sports you can get outside the resort. But, if you do not want to leave the resort and spend the time to arrange for that, then their tours are fine. Just have to haggle for the price..
The thing I was most impressed with, is the value for what you get. Although it might not have all the perks of a 5 star hotel, it is very nice and gives you almost everything the other resorts in the area does, but with a much cheaper price tag.. In low season you can get a standard room for P 2500. If you just wanted to visit the resort without staying there you can get a day pass for P 500 in which 400 of this is consumable. Pretty good deal...
For the budget minded person, and even not budget minded, i would surely suggest to go and at least give it a look.. I enjoyed it and would go back again...
