Excellent hotel close to the Green belt and business community in Makati. This hotel has all the business executive´s needs covered. The club rooms have wonderful beds and it is quiet and well insulated, in my experience (lived there on 3 occasions in 3 different rooms). Breakfast in this hotel is no joke. It has everything you can think, of set on tables, buffet style, around in the restaurant. Very helpful and polite staff always available in restaurant or reception or close to room.

Room Tip: Club rooms are good dont know about standard rooms but, from seeing other reviews it seems those nee...

“We won't be using this hotel again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

For such a large hotel chain we found this disspointing, the room carpet was very dirty when reported we were advised that they would clean it once we had left!!!! Wht not clean it before we arrive?
A charge of PhP800 / day for intetrnet access, which at best was poor, and wireless non existant, most hotels have quality internet access with no charge.
They staff were very pleasant and helpful.
As it was our first trip to Manil we decided to book the hotel pick up from the airport, which is only a 10 to 15 minute trip, the charge US$70 ++, we found out a taxi would cost no more than US$5.
We requested an early check in which they kindly agreed to , then they decided to charge the full room rate for an extra couple of hrs.
We will not be using this hotel again

My husband and I stayed in the Intercontinental in Manila on the last night of our honeymoon in the Philippines. It was the most luxurious place we have ever stayed. The rooms are modern and well maintained, food is good and service top class. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Needs a lot of updating”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My family booked connecting rooms for a couple of days at the intercon makati last january. The experience was not really that great. This hotel has gone down with time. The bathroom on both rooms needed a lot of updating. Both the sink and the tub of both rooms had plumbing issues. The plumber had to come back several times. I learned that this is an on going problem. Molds all ove the place. Saw signs on the lobby saying that they are in the process of updating the bathrooms on some rooms but if they know that something is not right with the rooms, they should not have guest occupy them. I was thinking of requesting to change the rooms on our second day but since we have small kids with us, it would be too much hassle to do that. The towels looked very old. The carpet inside the rooms looked dirty and could use some changing. The sheets and pillows are not that comfortable either. We had to pay for internet service. Im surprised because wifi services are free on most of metro manila's 5 star hotels that i've stayed at. The pool staff was not really "guest friendly" when we used the said facility.
Positive things about the hotel - Location is perfect. glorietta is right there. Great selection of food for the breakfast buffet. The front desk, houskeeping, security and dining staff were all friendly and helpful. The lobby was well kept.
I hope the next time i get the chance to stay at this hotel, the updates are already done and the experience with be a better one.

“Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Standard 4 star hotel in a great location in Makati, Manila. The rooms and amenities were good and received tremendous help from Yuki the concierge arranging flights to Palawan. The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the prime night life area of Green Belt 3 which has great, no fantastic, live music. For pop and rock try the Spicy Fingers Restaurant or for true latin try Cafe Havana. Within the Lobby there is a good tailor (Kingsmen) from whom I had a suit and shirt made. The pool is big and open but a little noisy from the traffic outside the walls. The hotel also houses a high end Disco called the ICON.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view from a higher floor.
