We always stay here when visiting family in the area. It is a great location for traveling in and around town. They were very helpful accomidating us with room arrangments for us and my son. They offer free breakfast for the children who's family is staying in. On our last morning, our family met us there for breakfast and fairwells. I'm sure we'll be back again. Oh, my son loves the pool!

What can you say about a Holiday Inn. You get a clean room with nice people at the front desk. Location is ideal for going anywhere in the area. Our challenge was the quality of the bed. It's mostly a spring bed with some padding thrown over the top. If you are ok with that then you'll probably enjoy this hotel.

We recently stayed for two nights at this Holiday Inn (we are Priority Club members). We had the wine package, which was very nice and did save us money. The staff at check in was friendly. Our room was very clean and well appointed. It was great having a refrigerator in the room. As for sleeping, that was a bit challenging the first night. There were kids running up and down the hallway slamming doors until midnight. Not optimal after a long day of travel and sight seeing. While the hotel cannot control this, it is only natural that hallway noise carries into the rooms since there is about an inch and a half of space under the doors to the corridor. It seems like the walls might be thin as well. The pool is also not adult friendly as it was constantly filled with kids. As for McGrath's restaurant, we had the shepherd pie and it was like eating hamburger soup. Not good. Breakfast, which was included each morning in our package, was very good...especially on Sunday when they had the fresh omelette and waffles. Service was very friendly as well. All in all, we had a nice stay. Perhaps it was a strange coincidence that loud kids seemed to dominate our hallway and pool during the time period we were there.

We came for a baseball game and to explore any nightlife. Friendly staff that helped us locate a place to go after hours, other than their own bar, called Swaby's (that is another review). Didn't like a room that opened to the pool/banquet area. Did like their bar that had a great selection of bottled brews. Location to that awkward downtown was nice. We'd probably stay here again if we had a choice of this place or another similar hotel.
