nice place.. accommodating staff.. highly-priced...
I had the urgent requirement of staying at the Pontefino Hotel.......Rate was upper high for the area but worth it......Staff was very friendly and helpful, Tried to be responsive to my requests, kitchen had limited response to menu items desired, Breakfast buffet (included) was very good to excellent, room was spacious and well appointed all in all an excellent presentation and good value. The hotel is the very best Batangas has to offer.
We stayed in the hotel last Christmas... The first thing we noticed as we entered the room was it was too dark, insufficient lighting on the "sala".. we even noticed that the airconditioning was way out of normal.. you still have to look on it about an hour before recognizing it... The comfort i can say is excellent.. clean sheets and floors...The worst thing i've noticed is the bell boy.. as we were taking our things out of the car, he was not responding quickly as he should be... maybe because we were using an old model of vehicle... a major no no... tsk..
We stayed 2 nights at Pontefino Hotel in Batangas City for our annual Christmas vacation. The hotel is very nice and very clean. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The hotel is just less than a kilometer away from SM Batangas City and the Church of the Most Holy Trinity which is very convenient. The facilities available to guest includes a workout gym and swimming pools, and jacuzzi. The only complain I have is the morning breakfast which consist of only one entree, scramble eggs, garlic rice and the usual toast bread and a very limited selection of fruits. Not only that, we have to wait for the kitchen to bring out the entree (first breakfast was tocino and second was adobo pork & chicken). The staff should have anticipated the shortage and bring out more of the entree. Our breakfast took us more than one hour to eat when it should have been only 30 minutes. There were no massage service but I guess it was because its Christmas day. The hotel provide daily newspapers from Star, Inquirer and Bulletin. It was a very relaxing stay for us at the hotel.
Their breakfast buffet is misleading. They make you think your breakfast is free, but all you get is free bread, jam , and butter, and coffee and juice. You really have to pay if you want a real meal. I'm a breakfast buffet person so I mind. The hotel is ok, but if you ask me, there are much better ones in the area. This one doesn't offer anything special. So-so.
