my boyfriend and i along with our friend and his wife went to baguio last august 5 to 7, 2005. With a very tight budget, we thought of calculating all our expenses just before we went there, including the place where'll be staying, taxi fares, foods and beverages. One of the major preparations all of us has to make was to scout for lower room rates but with quality and style anywhere in the city of baguio. two of the hotels that we considered were forest inn and city light hotel. forest inn offered very minimal charge of Php. 1,200.00/ day to accomodate all of us as compared to citylight which offers, Php. 2,200/day. Considering our tight budget, all of us then decided to choose forest-inn and immediately called forest inn for booking.
We were treated extremely good during our day one, upon entering the lobby of the hotel, we were greeted by front desk staff with "HI SIR! ARE YOU MR. RAGAY" we were all surprised by the gesture since we haven't mentioned anything yet since we stepped in the hotel. We all commended him for being such acommodating.
The room was enough to house the four of us, there were matress beds for our companions and there were matrimonial bed for me and my boyfriend. Batrooms are equipped with everything we need including towels, soaps, hot and cold water. Our room was carpeted, Cable TV was provided and a telephone unit inside our room was available to call the hotel for assistance.
Forest inn is not really as big as those who offer everything. Foods are available only upon orders. Again, since, we have a very limited budget, we usually just go out of the hotel during lunch, dinner and meryenda. Most of the times, we eat just accross the hotel, a restaurant called "KUBO's GRILL" which offers a variety of filipino food dishes. quite expensive but enough to fit our budget. "ang sarap ng mga pagkain".
Our stay in baguio for almost four days were simply amazing, relaxing probably because of the good and quiet ambiance of the hotel. we thought of going back to the hotel again during our next visit to baguio...
