“Didn't like a thing about this Hotel”

A friend recommended me this place. I agree with one of the persons who mentioned that if you have a thing for a silent place to stay, don't stay at Forest Inn. First thing i saw were the cockroaches in the CR. The walls are indeed thin. You can hear the neigboring rooms banging doors and murmurs of people passing thru the hallways. The thing that really pissed me off was that i reported the cockroaches the next morning, we came back around 12nn and they didnt do a thing about it! Really ticked me off so we transferrd to a nearby hotel, Golden Pine Hotel which i really recommend and the Front desk was even nice to give us a 15% discount with free breakfast. Gave us this nice room for only PHP1620/night for two as compared to 900/night at Forest Inn, its worth the price!!! the Room has AC, 21" TV, bathtub, all the lights were working!, free newspaper, and even a blowdryer!

“this place is quiet...”

You'll have a view of the Brazil looking environment because of the houses outside especially when you are in a De Luxe room (right side only). At night, you are assured of a good night sleep because of the quietness around. Tv remote control is upon request, even bath soap. They serve breakfast only.

“Small Surprises at Forest Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2005

we lodged at forest inn during our 3-day vacation in baguio. i must say that we were given a very good deal. we stayed in one of their standard rooms which includes the ff amenities: a private t/b, a dinette, big closets, carpeted floors... not bad for 600 a night.the hotel employees were very accomodating. they provided us with good service that you may want to consider when choosing a place to stay in in baguio. i especially commend this male receptionist who didnt mind receiving a call at 1 in the morning from two starving people craving for pizza and pasta.though its his job to man the phone in those wee hours of the morning, we feel glad just the same, that we were accomodated very nicely. the proximity of the place from various establishments ranging from water refilling stations to laundry shops and "goto joints" to a bank was one of the nicer things about forest inn.

however, there were few things that i dislike about the place one was the intermittent door slammings coming from the employees' station and from the other guests as well, and when ur about to fall into that deep sleep at night u will suddenly hear a loud thumping coming from the room above. it seems though that the walls and ceilings of the place were not adequately built to resist or deflect the noises coming from the other rooms. and if you're wanting to have a shower after a brisk morning walk at burnham park, you might feel a little disappointed by the fact that the water pressure of your shower is no more than a drizzle of rain. the bathroom may prove to be disappointing when it comes to squeekiness. door and window locks were pretty much okay considering the level of security the inn privided. i must note that i lost my luggage lock, though im not sure if it was someone or "something" who took it.

if you ever find yourself not knowing any place where to stay while in baguio, i suggest you check out forest inn down legarda road. its far from stellar, though its a neat and cozy place.

“Cheap but amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2005

my boyfriend and i along with our friend and his wife went to baguio last august 5 to 7, 2005. With a very tight budget, we thought of calculating all our expenses just before we went there, including the place where'll be staying, taxi fares, foods and beverages. One of the major preparations all of us has to make was to scout for lower room rates but with quality and style anywhere in the city of baguio. two of the hotels that we considered were forest inn and city light hotel. forest inn offered very minimal charge of Php. 1,200.00/ day to accomodate all of us as compared to citylight which offers, Php. 2,200/day. Considering our tight budget, all of us then decided to choose forest-inn and immediately called forest inn for booking.

We were treated extremely good during our day one, upon entering the lobby of the hotel, we were greeted by front desk staff with "HI SIR! ARE YOU MR. RAGAY" we were all surprised by the gesture since we haven't mentioned anything yet since we stepped in the hotel. We all commended him for being such acommodating.

The room was enough to house the four of us, there were matress beds for our companions and there were matrimonial bed for me and my boyfriend. Batrooms are equipped with everything we need including towels, soaps, hot and cold water. Our room was carpeted, Cable TV was provided and a telephone unit inside our room was available to call the hotel for assistance.

Forest inn is not really as big as those who offer everything. Foods are available only upon orders. Again, since, we have a very limited budget, we usually just go out of the hotel during lunch, dinner and meryenda. Most of the times, we eat just accross the hotel, a restaurant called "KUBO's GRILL" which offers a variety of filipino food dishes. quite expensive but enough to fit our budget. "ang sarap ng mga pagkain".

Our stay in baguio for almost four days were simply amazing, relaxing probably because of the good and quiet ambiance of the hotel. we thought of going back to the hotel again during our next visit to baguio...
