“Cosy, Ibis style hotel in the heart of Baguio City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Sparse off-street parking, charming/helpful staff and spacious room with ample victuals and conveniences.
Excellent TV selection - much better than Bangkok's Rembrandt.
Unlike many other Baguio hotel rooms, my room had both window (Unsurprisingly with no view, being in the centre of town) and air-con.
Ample buffet breakfast, tho' for porridge we were expected to suffice with just hot water added to the oats - shouldn't complain as it's the first time I've seen this on offer.
A great, cheap Chinese within 100 yards. Self selection of various ingredients and it is cooked within minutes - quite unlike the greasy affair (or fare) we have over here.
Near there 'China town' so many amenities on offer - but watch the ferocious traffic as the hotel's side of the road is partially devoid of pavement.
Accessible stairs for anyone with lift phobia.
Ample reception area seating - unlike Manila's Bayview Park

Room Tip: High up and away from a busy street

“Basic Accomodations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Stayed at El Cielito Inn for one night while in Baguio. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and basic. There were no toiletries so bring your own shampoo. The room also didn't have a safe. Breakfast was included with my room. It was decent and consisted of an omelet bar and mostly Asian breakfast items. The WiFi appeared to be working most of the time. The only problem I had with the room was that my door wouldn't lock. The staff was working on fixing it, but I departed before the door problem was fully repaired. Overall, El Cielito Inn is decent, but nothing special. I would stay here again.

“keep coming back ;)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

I usually travel in and out of the country for business and pleasure. I'm very particular when it comes to the bed, bathroom and cleanliness. El Cielito sure pass my taste.

We were here last year, and again, this year. We arrived late at night and requested for an upgrade. We settled in after a few minutes.

The ROOM is quite spacious. We had two twin bed, there's aircon and ceiling fan. Though, when you open the windows, the air is much cooler and fresh. The bathroom is clean and had toiletries and towels. The cable television works fine. There's a small ref/ mini bar. Just request for hot water when we need it. The bed is clean and very comfortable.

BUFFET BREAKFAST is better than last year. They have Pinoy style buffet breakfast- thsi includes plain rice, hotdog & tapa, lomi soup (soups and main course meal is different daily), bread and pastries 9pandesal, croissant, carrot and banana bread), cornflakes or cereals with milk, fruits, coffee and juice. I like the addition of the omellette/ egg station. Waiters were warm and Managers and Cook even walk around to check the guest. PEOPLE FROM THIS HOTEL ARE ALL FRIENDLY.

LOBBY AND LOCATION is okay. Although a renovation is being done on their veranda section of the restaurant (I understand and at least they are developing), the place is still neat and clean. The place is just a street away from SM Baguio. And just a downhill roll to Session Rd, Burnham Park and the Market. I don't mind the walk... I want to feel the Baguio of today. Taxi is accessible. If you wanna go to The Mansion, Minesview, or Wright Park... you can simply step out the hotel and ride a jeep. If there's no traffic, it's just a 5 minute walk.

I have no regrets going back here.

Room Tip: I stayed at their old building and it's okay by me.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

El Cielito was already advised that I would be booking in the hotel every week until end November. I have been booked every Tuesday until Thursday night for 8 weeks now. I was surprised and disappointed that I was not given a booking for this week. It's a good thing that I thought of checking my booking prior to going up to Baguio only to find out that I was not booked in spite of the advise that I will be booking in the hotel till end November. Just imagine the surprise I would have when I realize that I don't have a room once I'm up in Baguio considering that the reservation has already been arranged by our office. Anyway, after some discussion, I was told that I would be accommodated only up to Thursday noon and I would have to check out by then. It would have been courteous and more customer oriented if I was given an advise that I would not be accommodated this week. This would also prevent inconvenience and unnecessary surprise for the customer.

Room Tip: A room with a view is better.

“plain room but decent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

The room has a very small TV with not so clear reception of TV shows. The security guards were very helpful with offering to carry luggages and offering umbrellas since it was rainy those days we were there. The front office personnel who attended to us could do better with offering a warm welcome to their guests or prospective guests.
