“A good but could be better hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Plus: (1) Good location - walking distance to Cathedral, Session Road and SM. Since it is not directly in Session or any major road, expect to have some peace and quiet. (2) Buffet (for a fee, if not part of your room package) - good comfort food (Caution: be early, otherwise you might be eating at the lobby area).

Can be better: (1) Rooms are spacious but bare. No closet :-(

Bad side: (1) Still under construction, you may hear some noise during the day; (2) Hard bed - hope they can improve on this!

Room Tip: Try asking for a room with a view... not facing the dormitory.

“PREPARE TO BE DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED.”

Where do i begin...

If you are looking to expect a "nice looking" lobby... This is it!
That's just that about the nice part.

Check-in:
I was asked to make a deposit for the 2 rooms i rented out.

Lobby looks just ok... Enough for you to say "good so far"

Elevator nomal speed, tiny.

Hallway... Dirty.

Room... Stinky, musty...just really unpleasnt to the point you won't get a good night sleep just because of the smell. (old antique smell)
Room is small.

Bed too small for a double deluxe
Bed... Cheap and small.
Bedsheets... Rough, smelly, made all of us itch.
Floor... Dirty.
Room makes you feel sickly stuffy.

Bathroom... Hot shower did not work.
Toiletries... We had to pay for toothpaste and toothbrush
Toilet paper... Just 1 ply
Trash bin... Yucky

Parking... Not enough parking spaces. Jammed.
Gas tanks are out parked in the parking structure too as well as cans of cooking oil, scks of cement ra materials, nails, plywoods etc.

Security... 1 guard

Food... Food is Ok.

Staff... Slow service. Snail-slow.

Check out: (note i paid deposit during check in and dposit in their bank account prior to cheching in)
Checked out... Asked me to wait.
Wait is over, they called me up to the desk and just said "it's ok now, you are checked out" they did not give me back my deposit. They did not ask me to sign anything nd all those ther good stuff like we do when we check in at high rated hotels like camp john hay.

Why did i check in here?
Camp John Hay booked.

How did i decide on this hotel? Because of it's misleading picture.

Overall review of this hotel?
Two thumbs own.

Pictures are nice, but really If you are hard to please and you know what you want from a hotel... Then please review this...

THIS HOTEL IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT... PREPARE TO BE DISAPPOINTED.

Room Tip: Prepare to get disappointed and have no sleep... Good sleep.

“NICE ONE BUT!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

We stayed at the hotel from Dec 23- 26, 2011. The hotel is very new still nuder construction. The room were in still lacks some basic furnitures, only 1chair, no drawers, no exhaust fan,no mirror, the room floor is dirty (A LOT OF DUST AND INSECTS) no aircon ( we were given a basement room),you have to ask the fron desk for ventilation since it was mid afternoo at it is hot (ELECTRICFAN).For the price, I think they should give promotional rate since it is noisy in the morning because of the on-going construction.

My family decided to have a vacation in Baguio City for the Panagbenga Festival, we are hesitatingly searching for a nice hotel to stay but most of the Hotels in Baguio were fully booked, luckily I finally made reservations with City Light. at first I was expecting that this hotel is elegant, having a thought in my mind from it's name. when I was actually there, I found that the facilities inside were not so modern, the staffs were not so friendly, You know the best thing that raised the Hotel from it's class is the service of the staff... Just improve your treatment to the Guest, it will make us felt warm and welcomed if the staffs are well trained and oriented for the proper approaches and conversed to the costumers. and your furniture were wooden types, less class and elegance.

“I'm definitely going back there, except that...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

As of today (September 2010), the hotel, I've heard, has been torn-down. They are constructing a new, better one, which is scheduled to open by February 2011 in time for the Panangbenga Festival in Baguio.

And it's always the price - if the price is still the same, then I'm definitely going back there. It's one of the budget hotels that provide value-for-money, good service, security, privacy, and accessibility. They have rooms that accomodate a group of 5-6 pax which allows lower cost/head. The front-desk and even the restaurant/bar personnels are also very friendly and helpful. There's a security guard posted at the front door. And this is almost walking distance to restaurants in the city as well.

Nevertheless, the location is what i like best. It's near to everything. When we grew tired of walking, we'll just head back to the hotel and rest.

One other thing, in one of the reviews here, they're saying that the place is haunted. We did experience the similar thing. In our case, there was a knock on the door, but no one was in the hallway.
