“The Best Hotel Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I have always been intrigued by the 'chiropractic' beds they have, so just for curiosity--I reserved online and stayed there for 4 nights with a friend. It was risky--to think that the hotel rate were a few hundred bucks way more expensive than Bloomfield Hotel (you can check my review for that Hotel as well).

The location has a direct link to Victory Liner. From the Front Desk up until the cleaning staff---all were trained well and were very professional and warm.

Then THE BED--simply awesome. I would like to buy one of my own. Hehehe.

The free buffet breakfast at Te Quiero was simply divine. We stayed there from Wednesday to Sunday and no menu was repeated. It varied from day to day. From Tapa to Daing na bangus to corned beef up to crispy danggit and potatoes with meat stuffing (forgot the name). Te Quiero also offers cereals, toast and pancakes, fruits and side dishes of different salads. The buffet seemed endless. BIG PLUS: Courteous staff! and there's a chef to whom you can request eggs (cooked in anyway you like --form sunnyside to omelette!)

The single room is spacious enough for two.The room smelled and looked clean everytime we went back after 5pm.There's no smoking area in the lobby, so we need to go outside the hotel and breeze the cold wind which hit at 10.2 degrees during our stay there. Te quiero however has a smoking area.

There is overflowing free coffee and hot/cold water dipenser at the main lobby so you don't need to bother buying Mineral Water from SM or 7-11. Real money-saver!

Overall experience is a real value for money. I intend to go back there in June or July (during off-peak season) and hope for a promo deal! This is one hotel I will surely recommend to my friends and family.

“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Family and I stayed in this hotel for the fifth time...The staff and management are superb. On my last trip Jan 16, 2012, to my surprise a bar and restaurant has been added. As usual staff were very courteous and helpful. This is the main reason why my family and I keep coming back. Second reason is the room itself provides comfort and touch of elegance. Need not ask anything more..

“Guest services were excellent.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Guest services were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a text message confirming our arrival at the hotel. Proximity to Victory Liners and sm is a plus. Customer assistance for whatever we needed was excellent!

We like the availability of internet access. The login instructions were helpful. However, it would be very helpful if a logout process were also included especially that we had to pay for the access. I bought a 100 peso, 1 hour access which was supposed to be good for 24 hours but since I didn't know I had to logout from Microtel screen, I got charged for the entire 100 pesos even if I only practiced how to access the internet with the Microtel card for about 10 minutes.

“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I've been to Baguio many times but this was the first time I've stayed in this hotel. There are many other cheaper but comfortable accommodations in Baguio which is why I've always preferred them over Microtel since I wouldn't be spending the day tucked inside the room anyway. However, my friend wanted to try it out so we found ourselves checking in at the hotel.

The hotel is right next to the Victory Liner bus terminal but it wasn't as noisy as we had imagined it would be. This side of the city is quieter because it's still a couple of minutes drive away from downtown which was easily accessible via taxis and jeepneys which abound in the area. The room we got was really huge and had wonderful beds. The bathroom was really large too and had good running water. We had a view of the mountainside and we could see the houses lining up the side of the mountain. Everything was clean and well-kept.

The only bad thing I would say about my stay in this hotel is that the breakfast wasn't at par with its standards. Sure, it was buffet-style but the food didn't taste good and it had only a few selections. It was a let-down.

Would I come back to this place? I would have to think about that since it's considerably pricey than other hotels which are OK for my standard since I only need a warm bed and hot shower after exploring the city. It was nevertheless a pleasant experience and I never regretted spending my time in this hotel.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your recent comment in TripAdvisor with regards to your stay with us last October 2011. It is nice to know that you tried our services for the first time during your latest trip to Baguio City. We are happy to inform you that we already opened our new restuarant last November 2011. We can assure you that you will have a better dining experience in our Te Quiero Tapas Bar and Restaurant which is also the venue of our new improved breakfast buffet. You will also have a nice view of the pine trees when you have breakfast. We do hope to welcome you back in Baguio City and in our other Microtels in the Philippines.

“Microtel = everything an accommodation is all about!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

I always stayed in this hotel (particularly in Baguio) every time I get to be in the city, whether for family vacation or on business. It's always the same convenience, the same feeling of safety(ness), and most of all, always clean and crisp beddings so relaxing & inviting. The last two stays were with the family and my differently-abled child (13 y.o.) always enjoyed the stay and he would not want to get out from the room after check-in. My child is non-verbal and quadriplegia spastic yet the word microtel is a very relaxing on-top-his-voice-loud response ever since this experience. Thank you Microtel for everything an accommodation is all about.
