This hotel is a little way out of the town which we were worried about at first. However, having explored the town we were really glad not to be stuck in the middle of it and the transport into town is ridiculously cheap (£2GBP). We had a lovely view of the lake from our bedroom (which also had a window box, lovely feature).
This was our first hotel in Peru and we were a little apprehensive about the quality we might find but the hotel was generally of a very high standard. The room was clean, airy, good bathroom. Service from reception and house keeping was excellent. Restaurant service was not of high standard and breakfast was not the best. We ate in the hotel at dinner twice which suited our needs but had a much better experience when we ate in town (La Casona was brilliant). The food was great if you went local.
The hotel helped to organise trips to Lake Titicaca and the Uros Islands- do the full day including Taquile Island- beautiful and well worth it (only £12 with pick ups).
The hotel is right by the edge of the lake and train tracks so you have beautiful views, birds, animals and the train every other day. The hotel has its own llamas and some little shops selling Peruvian crafts.
We almost didn't stay here because we were worried about location but if we went to Puno again we would definitely stay here.
