I stayed here for one night. Nice doorm in a "tree house". Loved the swimming pool, and the wibe of the place is cool. One of the workers there held a mini concert. clean and nice :)

Bambu hostel is by far the best hostel in David. I consider the place to be better than an expensive hotel because of the other interesting travelers you meet there. There's a restaurant right across the street where you can eat great for $3.50, a convenience store at the end of the block, and a well stocked 24 hour supermarket 3-4 blocks away. The hammocks under the gazebo are a great place to lounge and enjoy a couple of beers, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the jungle hut in the backyard made me feel like I was sleeping in the treehouse of my childhood dreams :)

We stayed in David for 2 nights and found this place just fine for a short stay. The grounds are nice and owner is friendly. Very decent kitchen and a great supermarket nearby. Clean pool and great jungle feel in the back

We stayed at Bambu twice in November 2011. Our first stay was for one night on the way to
Panama City in the 4 bed dorm which was clean, affordable and comfortable. On the way back we stayed 4 nights in the private with bath while recovering from dental work. Bambu was the perfect place to stay: the owner Greg is super kind and helpful (and a good guitar player), the hostel is clean and across the street from a great restaurant, the pool is awesome and the kitchen has good supplies. We'd love to stay there again!
