I don't see why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Essaouira. From the top this Ryad seems to be the tallest building in town and the views from the terrace are fantastic, especially together with breakfast.

The staff are very friendly and host Aurelie knows what you can/want/should do and where best to do it. Follow her suggestions!

My mother and I spent three nights in August at the Riad Marosko. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived in the patio. Aurelie's big smile and nice words made us feel at home. We later met Aurelie's husband and daughter Lila. What a nice family!.
My mother and I know the city of Essaouira well, and thought the location of the Riad was perfect, close to the souks and to the beach.
The riad, including lounge room and bedrooms, is tastefully decorated. We slept very well, and enjoyed each morning a delicious breakfast, on the adobe-colored terrasse, next to the family chameleons. The different languages spoken at the breakfast tables are a testimony of the reputation of the Riad Marosko.
Aurelie and Ingmar work very hard in a very competitive market, and we wish them well.

I've just returned from Riad Marosko and would thoroughly recommend it. It's in a terrific, central location, though quiet enough that you wouldn't know. The rooms are large and comfortable and the food is great. What really makes the riad, though, is Auréle and Ingmar - the owners, and the other staff. After being met at the bus stop and walked back to the riad, the staff seem to have a genuine interest in your well-being which shines through clearly. Nothing is too much trouble and you'll be constantly topped up with delicious mint-tea or coffee. It might not have the glossy presentation of other Riads, with elegant gowns, air-conditioning or cable tv, but this is a different experience - far more personal and genuinely feels like staying in the home of a very welcoming and hospitable family. Plus, you won't need air conditioning, tv or dressing gowns in Essouira, so enjoy!

I stayed at the Riad Marosko for a week in June and everything was perfect.Aurelie and Ingmar were really welcoming and helpfull and the staff were absolutely brilliant.
I stayed in 2 differents rooms and the features in both of them were amazing, I also enjoyed the homade breakfast served every morning on the rooftop terrace, the fantastic pancakes and the freshly made orange juice.
I will definitely go back as soon as possible.
