The riad was booked for us by Darren who uses it as a base for his photography holidays. We went out on 4 days for the excellent cookery course run by his wife Naima and joined the photographers in the evenings and on a day trip to the countryside.
The service was very good and the staff friendly. Our room was on the roof which was great for a spot of sunbathing and for views over the medina but less exciting during the torrential rain (first for 4 months!) but the staff supplied cloths to soak up the puddles and a heater, so it was fine. It was up 4 flights of stairs though, so if that bothers you, you might ask for one on a lower floor. Fresh rolls and pastries and freshly squeezed orange plus yogurt for breakfast and good coffee. Evening meals good, though we mostly went to one of the excellent nearby restaurants in town. Located right in the car free medina, it is convenient for shops and restaurants and a pleasant walk to the beach and harbour.
We had a great time making home-cooked Moroccan food with Naima and joining Darren and the photographers for their day out into the countryside and in the evenings.
