“No frills- A little far off, but within walking distance, and a good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2010

My husband & I stayed here and we liked it. We got a rental car & drove from Marrakesh. We found it easy to find. And, we drove right up on the sidewalk & parked. The staff were very nice. Since we were staying 7 nights, they upgraded us to a bigger room. We only paid something like $50/night. The room had a large/king bed, a huge armoire-type dresser on one wall, end tables, w/ lamps, a few carpets. You could see the ocean from the windows. Very safe, residencial neighborhood. There were several low to the ground type couches, surrounding a round coffee table-type thing, & a TV. Bathroom w/ tub. Exceptionally clean. We ate several times from the restaurant, mostly room service, & it was good. The breakfast was great. I remember fresh squeezed orange juice, a hard boiled egg, & various "sweets." The walk to the souk/medina was maybe 20 minutes, less when you start seeing a couple of restaurants overlooking the ocean. We ate at one several times. Mmmmm... good...Ah, the tangine! After the second time, the waiter shook our hands like we were old friends! It was nice to be out of the hustle & bustle of the square. We took day trips w/ the rental car to Aljadir & the surrounding areas. I sat out by the little pool & read once. It was nice. There was one English channel that showed American movies. We didn't really watch TV. But we did watch a little Moroccan channels. It was a little chilly on some nights. No heat in the room. My husband didn't mind. And once I got into bed, I was fine. All in all, a very good experience. We would stay there again. There looked to be a lovely hotel in the square for $150/night, but we liked this hotel. We saved our $ for a rental car, plane tickets to other destinations on this trip, etc. We enjoyed ourselves.

“No shower”

When we turned on the shower at 11pm we woken up the whole hotel. It sounded like we were destroying the room but we only put on the bathtap and shower. Room was small but really clean. Swimmingpool was freezing cold and breakfast was ok , coffee was heated more than once...

“far from the beach and the medina”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2010

the problem with this hotel is the distance from the beach and the medina (10 minutes walking the beach and 20 the medina). but if you are looking for somewhere to sleep far from the crowd and the noise, and if you don't care that rooms are small and not very clean, then this hotel fits for you, above all if you don't mind walking (as we did) or you have a car. we paid 540 dh (50 €/70$) in october 2009

“good value for money with att service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2009

good tourist hotel with good value for money rooms
(400 dh) small pool, just good enough for a plunge

good service they try all to meet your demands
there are 2 buildings, with most rooms in the
newer building

the distance to the medina is slightly further than you might
like for comfort (23 min. walk) but petit taxis are always there for
one way 7 dirham, only 5 minutes to beach with some
nice eateries available

the food we had was nice, morning buffet included

  • Liked — service of the staff was excellent
  • Disliked — distance to medina

“hell of reception men”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2007

Stayed here with my daughter in June. The room was ok a bit dark had a good look over the very small pool, bathroom was very small and very very basic and smelt. The lobby was fine with a small garden area you could use to shade. The main waiters for breakfast were lovely and the breakfast was good lots fresh juice and little pancakes yoguarts.. but the real downfull was the reception people. One receptionist was a total con man when I first arrived I had no currency and he said the banks were closed when they where open he changed some english money at £3 under what the rate was. If you needed water he would charge 15dh instead of standard 5dh. ! day my sister left a waistcoat in the lobby when asked for it he said no not here, next day we saw the waitress walking aroun d with it on. If you came back late at night he would be there with all his friends sitting around the pool laughing at you and chatting on , unnerving man. When he dropped us to the bus stattion which is part of the price you have to keep on at him to arrange it otherwise he would just leave it and you would miss your transport when we did actually get going he could not drive and we nearly crashed on-route.
