beautiful, ciharming, good location, stunning views from the roof terrace. service lacking the detail we found in other riads, but that said was nice to have the privacy afforded by not having staff on site all the time. with the layout i would recommend villa allun for those larger parties who want to book out the entire villa, but would not hire out one of the floors again.

We have just returned having spent 3 nights in Villa Allun. We were the only guests in the villa during the stay. We found it to be comfortable and and in a good location. I disagree with the reviewer who said it was at the far end of the medina - I thought it was very central. It took only around 10 minutes to walk to the beach and less to the square and cafes etc. It is in quite dark lanes in the medina but we had no problems at walking there at night and we never experienced any youths hanging around the door. The outside of the villa does give the impression of being a bit of a mess but it is in the medina after all. Our excellent riad in Marrakech was the same - if you want to stay in a Riad this is fairly common I would say. The suite we had was very clean and comfortable with an excellent view. We only had breakfast there but this was nicely prepared and very fresh. The two members of staff present during our stay only spoke French so communication was a bit difficult. Having said that they were very nice and were kind and helpful. The ipod music was vey relaxing!

Villa Allun is a very charming, peaceful and welcoming place with an unbelievable view on the ocean from the roof terrace.

Located within the Medina, the service is perfect and definitely customer oriented with miss Latifa.

I highly recommend this villa to spend a very nice and resting week in Essaouira !!

And I do not agree with the other comments made as the garbage and smell in the Medina has nothing to do with the villa itself !!!

I spent a wonderful week at Villa Allun last May.
We had a great and peaceful time there. The house is charming and really well decorated, a mix of moroccan style and French touch.
The service was really good, Latifa is a great cook and we really enjoy all her meals.
The house is situated in the heart of the medina so we can discover moroccan's traditionnal life which was very interesting and fulfilling.
We spent a great time on the roof terrace, watching the ocean and resting.
