We went back to Dhigu for the third time having been to many other islands in the Maldives.
The island is big enough to have all the facilities you need and a choice of several restaurants by using the sister island of Velli which is a short boat ride away ( boat go every 10 mins ) but small enough to be very personal.
Over the years the standards have gone up and up by exceeding my expectations.and keeping up withnew ideas.
I judge a hotel by how they handle things that go wrong ( which in the best run hotels they do ) . A few minor issue went wrong in our room and they could not do enough not just to fix the problem but to make us feel good by giving us a candle lite dinner on the beach with the WOW factor .The resort Manager Matthew even came to see us during the dinner to make sure everything was ok
It goes without saying we will be going back in 2012, as it really does not get much better than Anantara Dhigu

Stayed here in the New Year holidays and we had a fantastic time. I can't fault this hotel on anything really. It was more than we were expecting. Special thanks to Riyaaz and the staff at the Fushi Cafe for fantastic friendly service and to Rajaval out on the island who always had a big smile. Thanks also to Claudia and the team who made us very welcome.
This place is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and when you consider everything is imported thousands of miles to get to your table, it's not that bad really. The island is unbelievably pretty and the snorkelling just a few metres from the steps leading down from our room was amazing. Like swimming in a tropical fish tank.

it's the first time we visited maldives , no doubt it's a heaven in world with the beauty of the nature and anantara dhigu 's high startard hospitality, thei resort made our dream come true , we took a bargin package on 5 nights sunrise beachfront villa plus normal price of 2 nights sunset water villa, we got best service on both type, yes, all together price is high but it worth, clean and well-facilities in villa, nice decorated with privacy, housekeeper are pofessional and friendly, restaurant not much valrity but very tasty and fresh, pool was wonderful, though weather not perfect on june, but the relaxation and luxary made our trip in paradise.
