Please Please Please ...Don't listen to some of the negative reports on here about Club Faru I think people do it because it is one of the cheapest places and it makes people feel better about themselves by having a sly dig in a "I'm too good for this place" kind of way....there is NOTHING wrong with the place

It was voted the best 3 star hotel out of ALL the First Choice hotels last year and I think thats selling it very short.

The place is brilliant,the staff are friendly,the food is excellent,the rooms are clean and cool with the A/C and ceiling fan,there are fresh clean towels,beach towels & new bedding every day if you really want it,there is a good mix of people from all nations not just Brits (we also met Kaaaathy and her son Kevin from Texas ;-)

The sand is like talcum powder and the water crystal clear,when the tide turns it creates brilliant sand banks 100's of yards out that you can walk to while (baby) sharks swim around you!!

In the evening you can make it what you want...they have karaoke,bit of a disco and a band in the week.

We have just got back from Club Faru, what a fantastic holiday. It is the only resort we have ever been to in the world where you are totally stress free. The staff are very polite and not in your face. The food is to die for especially if you like spicey food, however there was plenty of other choices. My husband would like to say that the chef how bakes the cakes etc should be in a top London hotel. If are lucky to go ask before hand to have a room on the ground floor near the blocks starting from 87 - 140 as they are the best. Our waiter Fazleem was so delightful. Go on the free trip to Male as it is very different. The snocking daily trips are also worth while.The views are amazing and the sun sets to die for. We would go back tomorrow. The Island is very quite which is perfect for a really relaxing holiday. There is not a lot of entertainment at night but it is great meeting lots of new friends like we did. Hello to Netta, Steve,Ally, David, Lavina and Andy not forgetting our Americian friend from Texas Kathy. Last but not least we had the best ever rep GUY he was the best rep we have ever had in all the holidays we have ever taken and that is a lot.

We are lucky enough to live close by and this was a 4 day long weekend..my criteria were 1. close to the airport to reduce transfer time, cheap and at least have board. It certainly ticked all those boxes. It was very tired though and needed a thorough refurbishment. The food was adequate and the staff a bit miserable. I think if it was my main holiday and I'd travelled a long way I'd have been REALLY disappointed but it was OK for a quick jaunt.

When I booked this hotel I was a bit concern because I read some bad reviews, but since I was looking for a hotel not too far from Male, I wasn't willing to spend too much money and on top of that was a last minute trip, Club Faru came up as the best deal.
After arriving in MLE airport a 10 minutes boat ride took us to the island. And I have to say, It is a wonderful place, welcome drinks were offered and we went to our room. The room is basic but comfortable, A/C + celling Fan, fruit basket, safe and 2 cabinets. The only reason that my overall rating is very good and not excellent is because the bathroom is old, I believe it is time to renew it, apart from that everything is very good. The food was also excellent choices of chicken, fish, pasta, beef, salads, deserts for every meal. They allocate a table for me and I had to have all my meals at the same table every day, and it is normal to share the table with other guests, so if you are a couple and don't want share your table, you have to choose a 2 seats table since your 1 meal. The staff are great, very friendly. I did the free snorkeling trip twice and I strongly recommend. Beaches around the hotel are amazing: withe sand and blue water as we expect. If you are looking for a hotel in Maldives without burst your budget, Club Faru it is a great choice.
