friendly reception, bedroom was ok since we stay at the new wing, only the bathroom have a lot of water stain. breakfast was good especially nasi kerabu so delicious but have to wait to be filled up. Overall enjoy staying here
First time in KT and have chosen Permai Inn for our nite stay. Our room was at the old building, Standard deluxe with a double bed. The room felt old and moldy. First dissapointment was on the TV facility. No transmission at all except for blurry RTM 1. Called the receptionist once, told that they will send the maintenance guy to check but nobody came. After the free supper (food was ok), go to the counter to complaint about the TV again and was told the same thing, but up till midnight nobody came. So no TV for the whole stay. The aircond unit took a while to cool down the room.
Second thing, the water from the shower tap (even with the shower curtain) will make the whole bathroom wet. The toilet bowl was stained with watermarks. The bathroom door was damaged and can't close properly.
Swimming pool was ok. Though there's no shower panel in the changing room.
Breakfast buffet (free with the package) was ok. The food took a while to be refilled. With huge number of guests the dishes finished quickly and you will have to wait for a long time for the new batch. For RM170 per night (after discount) normal price was around RM230+, this hotel did not meet the expectation.
Check in 2/4/2010- 2pm, free b'fast & supper....Got a average room at 1st floor (Old building), quite nice accept the views.Trying swimming pool at the hotel with wife & kids , going out for dinner outside. At night getting call from receptionist about water problem at that floor. Need to move to other room (new building). That night, we tired from long journey (KL-KT), then have to move at that night. Luckly have bell boy helping moving my belongings. Having a free supper after moving to new room. What a day!
3/4/2010- having a new room seems good thing, all new furniture, LCD tv. Breakfast is OK & having it before shopping at Pasar Kedai Payang & Sight seeing in Taman Tamadun Islam. Swimming with my son at 6pm. Staying in the room till night. Having supper with sweet voice of Anis Suraya. Prepare packing for check out tomorrow.
4/4/2010- Wake up in the morning. Going to toilet, & guest what, experience same problems on last friday, water problem. Call rep. & she said water pump got prob again(its a new bulding, how can can it be happen). I have to bath at toilet at old buiding & my wife & kids doesn't. Decided to check out eariler than planning. Have a b'fast 1'st & check out.
Conclusion: This I my 1st & last I'm staying there. RM170 per x 2 day is not worth it. With some extra package (supper) doesnt impress me anymore. Or maybe not my lucky day instead.
Upon checked in, I had asked the Front Desk lady for a room with the nicest view (preferably sea view) to which she replied no room is facing the sea. She was kind enough to give us the room with the pool's view (presumably the nicest view).
Upon entering the room, the room looked OK but the bathroom was not. Clearly the hotel management at that time did not check thoroughly the quality of construction, before signing off the contract. The pipe at the sink was very close to the bowl which made the water leak all over the sink area. The pipe was also very difficult to be turned off properly, there would always be water running.
I also noticed the cute tiles under the bathroom door were not properly aligned. This is clearly the case of poor quality of construction which can make it difficult for long term maintenance.
Front desk officer's mood varied, it depends on your luck. The hotel management should always remind the front desk staff that they are the most important representatives at the hotel.
