Stayed there for 25 nights from mid-December till January 2012. Overall my business trip to Malaysia is about 50 nights a year and this is my third stay at this hotel and most likely be the last one.

Before I start, first and foremost, compliments to the front desk and housekeeping staff. I find them very professional, polite and courteous. My needs were attended to promptly and there is follow up call to ensure I have been attended to satisfactory.

However the security and marketing staff is from another planet. After the New Year count down as I was approach the main entrance with others, I assume hotel guests, I was the only one singled out to provide proof of residence. It was embarrassing as if I am a squatter. Now I know the feeling. Maybe I do not fit the profile of Sunway hotel guest, so be it but I will not forget this incident.

Another pet peeve is the parking arrangement and the traffic around the area. Getting in and out is a hassle at certain times and looking for a parking especially in the evenings and on weekends is a nightmare. To avoid this I tend to return late into the night.

For a guest who stayed 50 nights a year, I don't think its too much asking to have 2 complimentary tickets to the lagoon but not for Sunway management. Somehow they have different ideas which is not surprising since the occupancy rate is very high.

Amenities is excellent since the shopping mall is annex to the hotel. For 2 or 3 days stay without the need to drive out, this is a decent hotel.

I have provided the above feedback to one, John Autelitano, General Manager. To-date I have not heard from him.

Good hotel having shoppin mall inside the hotel as well as water theme park. Best hotel to stay if you plan for enjoying your holidays at water theme park. I had a great experience there. Get the included breakfast, which I found to be delicious and overwhelming in variety.
The pool is great, the proximity to the lagoon theme park is convenient if you'll be going there, and the service was great too. Oh, be sure to get a room with a view of the lagoon! What a view!

We stayed at the Pyramid Tower Hotel over New Year's Eve. The hotel is located right next to the shopping centre, very convenient as far as I'm concerned (not so much from my husbands perspective). Shops are open from 10am until 10pm. We ice skated with our family (two adults and three children aged 11, 10 and 6). A very fun activity albeit difficult!

The rooms were clean and quite large. We had a connecting room with a king and three singles. You do pay extra for the third single, which I was not informed of when I booked. I did book for 5 and the booking was confirmed. If you do the same I'd advise contacting the hotel to get the actual room rate. It was not much of an extra fee.

The buffet breakfast was AMAZING! Pretty much whatever you'd think of for breakfast.

Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Any questions were answered and followed through quickly.

I'd recommend staying here as it is significantly cheaper than the next door resort hotel.

The only difference is, you do have to walk across to the pool. My family thought this was a very novel way of going for a swim and it was not an issue at all for us. The pool is lovely, with the most friendly waiters.

This is my homebase whenever I travel to Kuala, Lumpur Malaysia. The hotel is the Sunway Pyramid Resort (Not Sunway Pyramid Tower.. the other hotel beside). The resort is where you want to stay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, they have renovated their first floor breakfast buffet which was previously OK but now excellent. However, the most part I enjoy is their large pool. Enjoy the morning workout at the fitness center and take a nice swim after.The rooms are above average. The hotel is near a water park and mall. Just walk to the mall and you have all kinds of food and shopping. My only wish as improvement is better TV programming and wireless internet in the room.
