Village House is a perfect place to do very little. Down an unmarked track just outside the village of Santubong, there really isn't anything to do except relax in a hammock, swim in the gorgeous pool, browse the books and magazines in the upstairs 'library' and amble the two minutes to the beach at sunset (it's not really a sitting beach, as there's no shade, no loungers, etc). Service is pleasantly understated and there's a good selection of food, including a five-course banquet of local specialities (pre-order!), and the rooms are stylishly decorated and very well maintained. The best suite has its own massive terrace, separate living/sleeping areas and a huge TV that you can flip round to face either. Perhaps the only downside is that it's not exactly cheap, but it is worth it - once you're there, you won't want to leave (we've extended our planned stay before, as did some friends who came to visit). Definitely the classiest option in the Damai/Santubong area.
