Got off to a poor start when our taxi driver had trouble finding the hotel, and we were late for our first meeting there. Business centre was tiny, so was the lobby and reception area which was basically a desk and three chairs. Staff was polite but professed no knowledge of surrounding traffic conditions, travel time to Precint 2 where our next meeting was nor taxi availability. We asked for some aspirin and were told that the hotel was "not allowed" to sell medicine?!?

Food is average, their Malaysian satay was excellent, especially the peanut sauce. Service here was much better, and the waiters were very attentive (probably due to the fact that there were only a few tables occupied).

Definitely not my idea of a Shangri-La, and will try Marriott or Pullman if required to be in Putrajaya next time.

There is nothing really wrong with the hotel; It is has a good central location in Putrajaya (the reason for choosing it as we had some business to attend to in Precint 2), the room was reasonably well appointed, we ordered room service and the food was perfectly acceptable, the buffet breakfast ticked all the right boxes, the staff were helpful and pleasant.... I just found the whole experience a bit souless; it is a business hotel, and it does this well. But ultimately, its just another buiness hotel. Perfectly acceptable however.

The hotel has a unique design and its location in the quieter part of Putrajaya gives it a resort-like setting. The staffs are generally courteous except for a security personnel who trailed us with his eyes from the lobby to the 4th floor (you can look up the 4th floor from the lobby) as though we were some sort of suspects. We have brought this matter to the attention of the CEO of Shangri-La and hopefully you will not encounter the same thing in the future. Other than this the hotel is great. There is a wide spread of cuisines for breakfast and the swimming pool and lounges are lovely. I have posted many photos and and more reviews of this hotel in my blog. I booked a superior room,the room is spacious, with large,open-up concept bathtub.
It has romantic concept,suitable for honeymooners.
Located in secluded tranquility area,on the hilly area of Putrajaya.
The pool is overlooking the Putrajaya township.I love the sofas at the reception area.Classy!
And the staffs are helpful and pleansant.Will stay there again in the future.
