The very friendly and accommodating staff made this one of the most pleasant experiences in Malaysia! The rooms are very clean but nothing special, colourful and pleasant though. We tasted the best fish ever at the restaurant tip he gave us ( down the street past the no entry sign and under the 88 banner) which cost (literally) nothing, as a local Malaysia lady decides to treat us to Malaysian hospitality. Wonderful stay and excellent stop if you want to go to Taman Negara (they work together with NKS so you can arrange all onward travel from the hotel, also they can get the Jungle railway tickets for you if you want)

We book this hotel for two nights thinking of a one-day trip to Taman Negara the second day. We had no expectations at all and we were delighted to discover a clean, wide room, with a big bed (one of the biggest we found in Malaysia), toilet OK and with aircon and good TV. Hotel staff was amazing, incredibly friendly. They were looking after us all the time: booking a taxi for us, recommending places to eat (which of course turned up to have excellent and cheap food), arranging next day trip with NKS, etc.
Highly recommended, assuming there are no top-end hotels in Jerantut, this is the most likely similar option.
Be aware that if you reach Jerantut by bus, the hotel is a 15min-up-the-hill walk, so think of taking a taxi to get there unless you wish to get really sweaty

Perfect hotel to stay one night on the way to Taman Negara. This hotel is quite far from jerantut center (we had to take a taxi from the bus station to the hotel) but the rooms have air cond and are clean. The staff is very friendly and can help organise your trip to Taman Negara. There is a shop next door that is selling "adidas kampung", idéal shoes to walk in the jungle.
Just one bad side: the receptionnist adviced us to eat at the chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. It was very good but completely overpriced! 60RM for two and we only drank water!!

Stayed here on the way back from Jerantut; based on reviews on Trip Advisor. A great deal.

Room is clean. Clean towels, good shower flow, good airconditioning. Our room on the first floor did not have regular windows, only ceiling level ones, but you're not missing much by not being able to look out a window. Don't know why but wifi didn't work for us that day.

We had to make it to the train station at 2am and the elderly Indian chap working the reception very kindly offered to send us personally.
