We have stayed at the TJR 3 Times and even brought our parents in 2010 for our engagement trip. At this moment one of my brothers is also staying there with his girlfriend. We usually stay at hotels like secrets or fout seasons, but this hotel is better. The journey from The Netherlands is long but worth it.

We stayed here for 4 nights and wish we stayed longer! Excellent service , food and friendly people. Very relaxing resort and peacefull. Fully recommend !!!!!!!!!!

We've just returned from our 4th stay at the Tanjung Rhu and, thanks to the excellent customer care of new manager Enzo Rulli, it's been our best yet. The whole location, ambience and general atmosphere exudes tranquility and serenity, helped in part by the quiet diligence of the wonderful staff there. It doesn't really feel like a hotel or a resort as there's so much space and the different areas are subtly sited within beautiful, quiet gardens with their decked pools, rockeries and huge casuarina and palm trees; swimming in the Olympic-sized adult pool, parallel to the beach and sea, is just paradise! The lagoon pool, with its refreshing waterfall at one end and view of the sandbar and turtle rock at the other, is reason enough to take the short stroll from one end of the beach to the other, maybe stopping off for a drink at the sunset terrace on the way. When on holiday anywhere else, we want to go out and try different restaurants and locations but here the food served in the Rhu, Saffron and Sands (not to mention the beach barbecue) is excellent, imaginative and varied, so we never even think of going elsewhere. The Mangrove boat trips we've done with both Zohar and Fendi were a real education, thanks to their knowledge and passion on the subject. We are really looking forward to our next trip back to Langkawi - thank you to everyone there at the Tanjung Rhu for our lovely holiday! The Veritys, UK

We initially booked to stay 8 nights for our honeymoon, but after reading some of the reviews on TA , we decided to split our stay in Langkawi between the Tanjung Rhu and The Danna.
In hindsight we ahold have just stuck with our original plan. Yes the rooms were better at the Danna ( newer, more lush) but the service, the food and ambience were much better at the Tanjung Rhu. All the staff seemed to know it was our honeymoon and really made us feel special. We opted or the all inclusive package and the food was fab- although not sure if we got our value from it, esp as we did he beach barbecue one night which by the way was excellent. We also did the Mangove tour and our guide Zohar was brilliant. This resort is large and great they had an adults only pool (which had an amazing view) which was very tranquil. The resort is going through an upgrade and we'll def be back once completed!
