My second visit now to this hotel which delivers everything it promises. Set in acres of beautiful tropical jungle, you will not fail to be impressed by the studding surroundings. Built on a bay, the resort offers the "basic" rainforest accommodation through to the private over-water villa experience. Even the "basic" option is a wonderful room to 5* standards, luxury accommodation, service and access to great resort facilities. There is a bit of a culture of sun bed reservation from the guests (generally the Europeans), so get up early to bag yourself a spot on the beach or by the vast pool complex. Entertainment got a bit samey so taking a trip out to the other towns and the nearby port area, gives a welcome change if you are there for any length of time. You must do the cable car and finish off with a wander around the oriental village. The hotel were kind enough to upgrade us on our second visit and took good care of us as my airline had lost my baggage. Great shop - although snacks and drinks can be a little costly on the resort - what would you expect for a 5* resort. Great place, has a special place in my heart.

We just came back from our holiday and we are missing Berjaya already.
We stayed for 4 nights at seaview chalet. The room was great, clean, big bed, big bathroom which had two sinks and a big bathtub. You can open the blind in the bathroom and you can still talk to your partner or watch TV while you are in bathtub. Separate shower had good water pressure too.
The lady came over to our room every evening to hand us little sweets. We were very pleased that even such a big hotel cares every single guest!
We enjoyed the walk in hotel complex. Oh well, we took shuttle when it was too hot though...
If you stay at Berjaya, go and try the horse riding near the village(it is not related to the hotel...). Our early morning horse ride in the forest and along the beach of 1 hour was great experience with fresh cool air. The staff lead the horse as it was our first time ride. The staff from horse lodge came to hotel to pick us up and drop us off at Berjaya by car for free.
We tryed all the restaurants in the hotel and all good!
The hotel was just great as everybody else said.
Looking for monkey was something we enjoyed ;)

best hotel to stay in langkawi, clean room, friendly staff, amazing view. Excellent food at their restaurent. Value for money. Walking distance to Cultural village and cable car, seven wells. What else any one need. For couple, family. it was great.

We stayed at Berjaya for 3 nights in a partial sea view chalet.

This resort has a concept of chalets / huts built either on the beach front or up in the forrest in the mountains.

Chalets are easily accessible with well maintained roads laid out to provide hotel shuttle access to the chalets.

The main reception / lobby / restaurant / gym are all housed in one part of the hotel and there is excellently coordinated and efficient shuttle services to transport people from the chalets to the reception.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast served in the mornings had a good choice and the food was great.

Only thing to bear in mind, since this is a resort, it is a bit far from commercial places, if you prefer to have dinner outside of the hotel, it might be a 10 - 20 minutes taxi ride away. The hotel itself has 4 restaurants, including a beach view hotel which was very romantic.

The private beach is sightly small but with facilities available for water sports.

Good place, if you are a couple looking for a silent getaway!
